Some just don't get that CM is more than just profiles of people looking for a match. I don't know why people act the way they do, probably never will. you just have to ignore them and hope they fade away. I really like your yahoo group too. Are they hard to set up? Do you have your own website yet? I really have enjoyed the forums. I have learned alot, even if it is just about the mindset of people involved in WIITWD. When my Mistress is well again, I want to introduce her to the forums, I think she will enjoy them as well.

I got mail last night that said; I pity you. So I replied, Thanks! She replied back asking why my profile was so harsh and sent her a massive letter pointing out just how contemptuous her letter was and then explained why my profile was so harsh. I was amazed when the light came on and she understood that her contemptuous first letter was way out of line. Usually they block me before I can reply. So I just keep a little list of stupid and nasty sub/slaves to pass on to others when they ask.

I've been called a fake many times myself, dispite the fact that I live 24/7 with my subhub, regularly attend munches and play in dungeons and am honestly and actively seeking two nonsexual subs for domestic and pain positions. But, I told them NO, so either I had to be a fake or they had to live with the fact that they were undesirable to me. Very few times have I sent a rejection letter and gotten back anything resembling a polite response thanking me for my time. The first time it happened, I actually reconsidered the sub and met with him. While my first impression was right and we were not suited for each other, I did point him to a friend who I thought would be a match for him. I did not pave the way for him, feeling that if he was as good as I thought he'd impress her on his own. He did and they were a couple for a while.

Dear DianeB269, Ladies and Gentlemen; In my many years in the scene/lifestyle, I've been called negatives and or 'fake' because [insert excuses list.] There are periods in time, where I am without a slave as I've ended one, such as through death and the slave who will find me when the time is right. That does not mean that I am any less of a Dominant, that I am not any less of a Lady, not any less of a Master. Living the lifestyle is labor intensive and has its rewards and its time of being a royal pain in one's lace and leather undergarments (where the sun doesn't shine). I personally need that space and time to regroup, restore and live. It is nice not to have to be responsible for another person. It really is freedom. Frustrating as it may be--please know that as long as you can look in the mirror, look at yourself and be proud of the lady you truthfully are--then let others cause their own drama and be at peace with yourself. It is frustrating! and it's healthy for us to share our frustration and makes it easier to not take personally. MY most recentone came from saying i have someone underconsideration for 24/7 and therefore am focused only on that at this time. Again, i got the "you are fake just like all the other dommes here". Now that just makes soooooo much sense

Umm, so good to read the posts in this thread as I too can identify. But gratefully, I'm rarely labeled a fake anymore and those who once did are long gone from the scene - imagine that! LadyT you so rock! I am the same way, and when I had my submissive I NEVER once had to order him to do something, and I never had to punish him. I didn't carry a bullwhip around with me. And in everyday life we looked like boyfriend, and girlfriend. I didn't need him to kneel at my feet, and I let him kneel at my feet when he had that desire to do so.
