How does thuis relate to someone who is of legal age yet a minor?
Many different Age Of Consents in Multiple States - can be confusing and dangerous.

I find it disturbing that anyone who considers themselves an adult, and is over the age of 21, would even care what the laws of consent are. If one has to sit there and decide if a 12 or 13 year old is 'legally' of age...well, that's just sick.

True very True!
I have asked for ID for the only one said they were of Age of Consent but under 18 and when the person would not I did walk away.
(Who would have a fake under 21, yet over 16 or 17 ID? The way I figure if they get a fake ID it would show them to be at least 20 to get booze. But hey I could be wrong!)
What is scary is that within drving distance of me the Age of Consent is 14!! WOW! (Canada- well Ontario at least.)
Once place in the Good Old USof A it is 13! Added to that someone out here might be tempted to trust information on the Age Of Consent found out on the internet.  It could well be wrong, OR the laws could have been changed and the Web Info not updated. And it differes dependent upon gender. I know Canada is thinking about raising it to 16 as they do not want to look like they are promoting Sexual Tourism.
Better safe and just take matter into you own hand(s) then risk it!!

I believe she got those age numbers from a post of yours.

For the record, I do agree with what she has said. If an adult is considering anyone under the age of 18; that is just wrong ( i could care less what age the law says is legal )

Actually he was just quoting what the law is and the way i read it he seemed kinda shocked that we (the usa) would allow that.  I think it is a matter of degree though too. Obviously anyone under 16 is too young IMO, but to say any adult considering someone under 18 is a bit broad. What about an 18 yr old and a 16 year old?  or for me my first husband was 21 when we met and i was 17, senior and freshman in college. I was 18 before we had sex, but did those few weeks really matter? My daughter is 16 and i am thrilled she is not yet interested in a relationship., but she has friends who are having sex and who beleive it or not discuss this very subject.

I am of the belief that if you are not sure then walk away, but i feel that applies to more than just age. personal opinion only of course
