ORIGINAL: nissa ~quick reply~ "... or to meet ( in person ) a minor. " I find it disturbing that anyone who considers themselves an adult, and is over the age of 21, would even care what the laws of consent are. If one has to sit there and decide if a 12 or 13 year old is 'legally' of age...well, that's just sick. Actually he was just quoting what the law is and the way i read it he seemed kinda shocked that we (the usa) would allow that. I think it is a matter of degree though too. Obviously anyone under 16 is too young IMO, but to say any adult considering someone under 18 is a bit broad. What about an 18 yr old and a 16 year old? or for me my first husband was 21 when we met and i was 17, senior and freshman in college. I was 18 before we had sex, but did those few weeks really matter? My daughter is 16 and i am thrilled she is not yet interested in a relationship., but she has friends who are having sex and who beleive it or not discuss this very subject. I am of the belief that if you are not sure then walk away, but i feel that applies to more than just age. personal opinion only of course
