Well, here's one that may amuse. True story, too.

Last weekend, after my Mistress had left, I tidied the place up and left for home. I see her on weekends only for now, as we live about 3 hours apart.

One of the things Mistress insists on is that I wear my collar at all times while I am staying there. I've grown to like it a lot. It's not massive, but it is a nice chuck of leather ( and a HUGE thank you to Jimmy for making it for me [:)] ).

So after I was finished, I left for home. I waved goodbye to the doorman, stopped and got gas, as well as a sandwich at one of those turnpike places. Then I stopped at a convienience store a bit later as well.

While paying for my purchase, the girl behind the counter remarked how much she liked my collar. "My collar?!?"

I was still wearing my collar, all this time. So comfy, I'd forgotten it. Yep, an inch and a half of dark blue leather, with a big shiny ring dangling in the front, and here I am, blissfully unaware of it until some little girl with a smirk reminds me about it.

I must have turned 30 shades of red as I stammered some excuse about it and beat a hasty retreat! Glad I remembered the keys, or else it would have been a very unusual week...

I know many who wear their collars, which are obvious, 24/7. Most are chains with locks.

And you think Mistress didn't notice as you left?

I think it just goes to show how a collar becomes a part of a person when they are happy.

Actually, I wear a small chain all the time as my collar. You can just barely see it on me in my photo. The leather collar is simply something I wear when I am at home with Mistress. That's the one from the photo, too.  I guess I wore it so long, I got a little too comfy in it. Funny thing is, I've been missing it all week.

RubberWitch, she actually left home before I did, otherwise I doubt she'd have left me wear it outside. Besided the doorman, there are neighbors to think of. And my employer would certainly frown on it as well.

Thankfully in this day and age, you can explain away a colar like that as a fashion thing, or even dressing up for a concert or a movie.  I know Angel has talked about wearing his collar out if we ever go to rock concerts, since he can get away with it as costuming there.

I wish I felt a bit more comfortable wearing mine in public. It's really an attractive piece, but it's been many years since I've felt young and bold enough to do so.

I did get to wear it to meet an old acquaintence recently. It had a marvelous effect, to say the least. It was an old female friend who was having some trouble letting go. When she saw the collar upon me, I think she realized how serious I am about Mistress.

I given alot of thought to, and gotten in a few discussions about "getting caught". I wear a chastity device and there are a few things possible that would cause my discovery.

In the bathroom at work, no stalls. I could be in a car wreck or arrested (pay those fines). I could keel over from some unknown condition. Using a metal lock I probably should avoid metal detectors.

There have been stories of people caught wearing CBs through airports.

What happened to you is a bit easier to explain. You could've just come from a thrash-rock metal Goth type party. You could just say your GF gave it to you.

With a collar you could also get away with saying "It's the latest fashion".

Glad to hear it went well for you, that nothing traumatic happened. We kinksters have enough problems, who to tell what etc. I really don't like to lie, but you simply can't tell everybody everything. But then some may get a clue and push the issue, in which case a refusal to answer is pretty much an answer.

I don't know what kind of job you have, but thinking of how the world is changing collars may become more common among the non-kinksters. You could probably get away with it now, it's just a different type. Hmmm, you said she mentioned how much she liked the collar, not "Why are you wearing a DOG collar" or something like that. Sounds alnmost like it was just a comment, possibly even without a raised eyebrow.

Something just occurred to me, why do Men wear neckties ? Some of them are pretty hard to break and could be used as a leash, what is the penchant for tying something around one's neck ?

Kinksters, do you realize what this means ! ? Vanilla people are SOOOO BUSTED now. Neckties, yeah, splain that !

You must've got a hell of a start when you realized you still had it on, glad you had a good time :-) Hint : If you don't turn red they don't knows shit.

I know a guy used to wear leather wrist cuffs all the time. They were wide but only had small Drings. He also has piercings. I didn't ask at the time, but later after our fight, when we got to be better friends I asked, and he claims he is not kinky. If you saw his taste in art, like I have, you would tend to believe him.
