Sanity -> RE: Bush visit ignites violence between police, protesters (3/10/2007 6:45:41 AM)

It's my opinion that it's the American Left primarily who are responsible for these protests. They've been spreading so many filthy lies about this President for so long that some (especially extremists) in other countries are beginning to believe it.

Hell, Leftists have been telling these lies about President Bush for so long now that they're beginning to believe them themselves, and that's unhealthy. They don't even wonder why Pelosi won't impeach, they're too stupid with hate to even think.

In terms of the protests in Brazil, their call and further evidence that this current US government is damaging the reputation of the US nation.......I know, you don't care what non-Americans think, spare me.

I can't speak for the American left Sanity, but I can say I'm aware of US foreign policy. Iraq isn't a lie, neither was Nicaragua etc. I can also say that disbelief is far from limited to extremists, in Britain.

Off topic, but worth a punt: Bernie Sanders has calculated that the US taxpayer funds $125 billion a year in grants, tax-breaks and subsidies to some of your largest and most profitable corporations. This is at a time when the US has $6 trillion national debt and is actually borrowing money from the Social Security Trust Fund to pay its way. It appears that the US government is more concerned with corporate welfare than the people of the US. Lies or truth?

Sanity -> RE: Bush visit ignites violence between police, protesters (3/10/2007 7:31:24 AM)

Yeah, George Bush is stealing all of Iraq's oil, and American soldiers are smuggling that oil out their canteens.

Right?

Pffft. Not lies my ass.

It's ALL lies. President Bush is a good man, and the only reason that the Left attacks his efforts with such vicious lies is for power. They're power mad and they don't care who or what gets destroyed in their pursuit of it.

What about the oil contracts handed out to two British and two US companies? These contracts inflated the profit margins over and above fair trading conditions. Also, what about the $20 billion that is supposedly missing? This is money from Iraqi oil sales and assets and last seen in the hands of the US government. Are these lies?

What about taking ALL of Iraq's oil profits from one of the richest men on earth (Saddam) and giving it to millions of the poorest and most downtrodden (the Iraqi people).

Why is it that Leftists can only see the cup as half empty? All these lies and all of this hatred towards President Bush is breeding insanity among the Left, and now they're finding it impossible to see any of the really good things that he has done. After all of their vicious attacks, day in and day out for all these years, the Left has become exactly what they claim to hate. They don't care about the poor ANYWHERE, it's all about gaining power at any cost to them.

Bosh lies to get support to invade Iraq, now we can debate why he thought it necessary to lie but he didn't lie to be a latter day Robin Hood. Touting that line will only get people questioning your sanity!

If you want to be my friend, then you'll have to wise up some first. What programs has President Bush cut?

I wish he's make some cuts here and there, but unfortunately he spends like a big Liberal.

When was the President ever convicted of lying, meat? That's purely your opinion, yet you speak as if it's a fact - which is just more evidence of what I've been saying. The Left is losing their marbles!

Let's hope he is lying because if he really believed that Saddam had WMDs, the world is in bigger danger from Bush than even I believe!

If true, I would give them some credit (even though tainted by taking a cut), but where is the evidence?

Since the US and British armies landed on their doorstep, Iraq has descended into chaos - a fact.

Where is the evidence that the fund from Iraqi oil has found its way into the hands of "the poorest and most downtrodded"?

Sanity -> RE: Bush visit ignites violence between police, protesters (3/10/2007 8:33:59 AM)

Try again. EVERYONE thought that, meat. That's why Congressional Dems voted for war. Remember? And that's why Congressional Dems refuse to impeach. It's a nice little fantasy, but it doesn't fly in the real wortld.

Dtesmoac -> RE: Bush visit ignites violence between police, protesters (3/10/2007 8:36:03 AM)

Sanity - get sane - lack of conviction doe not represent innocence.

The American left has very little influence outside of the US, it is the actions of the man and the way he walks, talks, behaves, acts and the impact that he has had that has resulted in world opinion. He started appallingly by ignoring world opinion on issues, notably kyoto . Then 9/11 occured and almost the whole world rallied to support America (almost unheard of), he went into Afghanistan with world support and won ......... and then he actually started to think he was God on earth, and ignored everyone elses opinion and managed to turn world support into annoyanc, to disbelief that he was so arrogant and stupid and then to anger.  because of ubsequebt actions Afghanistan is re-emerging as a trouble spot. If he had played a better hand we would now be looking at true democracy in Afghanistan, and isolated Iraq, Iran subdued by the success of Western intervention in Afghanistan, an international agreement on climate change actions including the USA, China, India, and stable world oil prices and a less beligerent Russia.

The truth is the little man with the stupid walk pissed it all down the drain almost single handed and both Left and Right in other countries and a lot of people in the US know it. After 9/11 he was given undesputed acceptance of the rest of the worl to act and he FAILED.

The thing that he still has difficulty with is that so many people across the world can quite rightly tell him.....told you so.....

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: Bush visit ignites violence between police, protesters (3/10/2007 8:36:46 AM)

Where do you wish me to start,Federal lunch and breakfast programs for poor kids and cut back on the education bill the republicans made such a big show out of passing..additional police and rescue personal, just to name a few.,,,HE has his priorities in the wrong ..Sure we need to remain a player on the world scene but our country should be first on any man list....WE could have isolate Saddam and took care of the real terrorist in afgan...THE people of Iraq was ready for rise up and oust Saddam soon then later...bush is just a little man trying to fill the bigger shoes of his Father...bounty

That is why you could only get one ally to seriously back you and I bet even he is wishing he hadn't.

I never heard one European politician apart from Blair back Bush in his beleief Iraq had WMDs. Chirac said it was fantasy, Schroeder raised his eyebrows at the idea. They sent all the political signals that they thought Bush was completely wrong without actually coming straight out and say Bush was nuts.

You just have to look at Colin Powel delivering the evidence that Saddam had WMDs at the UN. The man was seriously embarrassed at the nonsense he was spouting, you could see he wanted Scotty to beam him up.

Sanity -> RE: Bush visit ignites violence between police, protesters (3/10/2007 8:43:59 AM)

Google "Iraq Oil Law" and read all about what the Left-leaning Media refuses to elaborate on. Educate yourself...

And Iraq has descended into chaos due primarily to the fact that Muslim extremists are encouraged by all the attacks on George Bush from the Left all over the world. They have hope of winning because Leftists are on their side in the propoganda war. It's a tragedy that doesn't need to happen. If the world had only been on the side of the Iraqi people then most of this needless bloodshed would never have happened, but attacking George Bush was more important.

Wasn't it.

You are seriously losing it here. This is like saying Nazi Germany fell into chaos because Russia fought back when attacked.

None of those muslim insurgents are leftists of any kind. You really need to leave your cold war paranoia where it belongs, back in the cold war.
