Just a curiosity question, what is the name or location of your local toy store. Gay or straight? Lingerie store with a twist? Its hard to find stores in most areas unless its by word of mouth and I thought that this might be useful for some. Oh, and we all know Lowes or Home (Dom) Depot is pretty much everywhere, I'm not talking about THAT kind of toy store!

All we have is something called Priscilla's which I think is a chain. Lingerie, dildos, what little fetish stuff they have is pathetic.

My toy store is a few websites I'm happ with.

There's three here in Nashville.

Naughty by Nature in Madison (Lingere and video store with a twist)

Metro News (Bookstore with videos and an adult section)

The Purple Onion (one and two) (Condoms and lubricants with videos, very few toys)

I sell my floggers to Metro News, they have the most extensive selection of toys in this area. All others are for fetishests and play people, ones not into serious play.

We have a Lover's Package (this is a chain, not sure if it is nation wide)about 4 miles down the road. They have finally expanded their bondage dept., but definitely lack on bondage videos.

Well, I can't call them local, but our favorites are the Purple Passion in Manhattan, and Northbound Leather in Toronto. :)

I go to Lover's Package too. They opened up a store a year or so ago in Mt Vernon. Seems to be mostly a vanilla store that is trying to get a few things in for kinkier folks. Have gotten some really good deals on lingerie on occasion. And since there's nowhere else to shop around here......i'll keep going there when i can.

i guess we are really blessed in chicago. We have a number of stores, a variety of price points, and loads of choice. Sure we can shop online but going in person, being made to walk out of the dressing room, being flogged over the counter...it is all a thrill

Setting aside lovers lane (and the other chains which sell videos and novelties)

1. Our favorite for clothes is 99th floor which always has catherine coatney gear at half price.
2. Leathermart: a boystown store with a lot of great leather clothing plus restraints and implements
3. Sky skraper heels. if you have a shoe fetish...
4. Blackmarket chicago. Owned by chciago grande dame of fetish. great selection and the place to go if you want to start networking. If you have a custom flogger in mid monica can make it for you.
5. Memphisito. a little store owned by a guy who does custom leather. This is a great place to find clothes for Master. We also got them to make us a set of thigh cuffs for a mere $30
6. Paul C leather. He used to have a location, not anymore but you can still visit him. His bondage swing is well worth the investment.

(also it isn't in chicago but i do love northbound leather in toronto. someday i will cuff myself to the circular staircase and swallow the key)

I lived in Chicago a number of years ago and remember some great stores. Boystown was filled with several fabulous fetish clothing type clothes but they were mostly geared to gay males. Whatever happened to the Leather Rose? I did hear that they closed doors, Hans left and all but also that they re-opened. They had decent collection of items.

Well, if you're ever in Anderson, IN (my hometown), there is an adult novelty store called Pleasures, which is located near our local shopping mall (such as it is). They sell lots of adult novelties, videos, DVDs, fetish wear, whips, paddles, gags, handcuffs, blindfolds, lotions, etc. I will say this:Make sure you have a LOT of cash because as I discovered, they are rather expensive! By the way, there is another location in Marion, just north of Anderson. Also, we have another store called Sensations, located on the north side of Anderson.

Here in Oregon, we have a great place called "Spartacus Leathers", which is in downtown Portland. We also have an internet/mail order vendor called "Rupert Huse and Sons"..very high quality merchandise and a terrific website, too.

I live in Northern VA near harrisonburg and even tho its a small town it has 3 xrated stores. kinda says something about us dosent it lol . Hole in the wall, Pamela secrets, and Adult news. These places most people know about but you never really see people there. Spencers I have noticed has gotten a lot of new things that are bdsm related. But of course most people feel too embarrised to buy in that kind of store.Eventhe x-rated stores dont have what im looking for.

I would love to open my own store and focus it more on bdsm stuff. I have a ton of ideas for one if anyone is interested to know them. I am often amazed at what I dont know about that is out there. Such as books like the market, GOR, and the story of O just to name a few. There is no places around here that would sell that stuff, you have to find it online and you are lucky if you even knows it exist. So often I will go on ebay and buy things or i know several people who make things. It would be ALSOME if collarme.com could get there own type of sell / want like ebay so people could find items they often want but cant find in there community.

We are in Hilton Head, SC...there are NO stores!! So, i started my own website to buy toys, www.sextoysex.com/imanislandgirl I have been handing out business cards...and...well........it has been doing well!!

Here in Seattle we have several places....

S N M Underwold on Broadway. The Crypt on Broadway. Fantast Unlimited on Westlake. Salon Fe Sade on 15th as well as Lovers package, love zone and counless other single and chain style strores.

And dont forget the Wet Spots vendor fairs 4 times a year, 30-40 vendors all selling bdsm and fetish related gear, toys and clothing as well as alot of custom work.
