i am trying to find out why my profile is taking so long to be approved. three days is a little too long to have it not showing. i am getting so many emails asking questions that would be answered in it if it was approved already.

Your not the only one waiting - I waited a week and nothing so I updated again April 1 - so we'll see how long it takes.

I'm new here as well and also waiting for my profile to be approved (knowing my luck they'll approvie it 10 min after I post this). I heard in one of the chatrooms the delays are because they don't have enough staff to handle the work load and are short on volunteers, but I don't know how true that is. I'll give them some time to approve mine, but after about a week if its not approved I'll send them an email politely reminding the management. They have approved photos very quickly, just not the written text. I'm not sure why that is. But at least its some progress.

The unpaid, overworked volunteers don't need any 'reminding' that there are photos/profiles/journals to be reviewed. Reviews are hare handled on a first in-first out basis and no amount of reminding in the world is going to make yours get reviewed any sooner. Try to be patient, and it'll get done when it gets done.

Then again, you can always ask for your money back...

I have sent e-mails to the Moderators and added AIM to my computer as requested so that I might volunteer to help with the collarme site. I am waiting for the Moderator to let me know the next step as I have done everything they have asked thus far. If enough of us volunteer to help perhaps things will run smoother for all involved. The staff are unpaid and doing there best, ask if you can help instead of complaining???
Just an idea!
