My husband has espressed a few times a liking for kitty outfits......or the furry pics of women half female........i have heard some ppl actually have kitty or puppy play...i dont know much of this. can anyone enlighten me regarding this topic? I would like to learn a bit more so I can do something for him he would enjoy

Damn, and I thought I was the only one doing kitty play. Outfits are the easy part, getting gloves with the claws are usually a custom order (I paid $120 for mine) and then there is all the fun of training to become more and more feline.  Personally, I don't go as far as a litterbox but I can see some going that route. Yarn, bells for her collar, catnip and other toys are a must as well. For the handler, having a high pain threshold is good since kitties like to claw and bite a lot.

I don't know.   For me, I've always thought of it has a more humbling experience than a turn on.  If I was forced to act like a cat or a dog, it would be a form of humiliation , I think.  I've never actually engaged in the activity though so I'm not sure.  Start with one of those cute little collars I see at Walmart all the time and let your imagination run from there. =)

but it reminds me of that sketch that Will Ferrell did for his audition to SNL.

There a tons of kitty/puppy players out there, I'd try some the basic things like search on google, search through these forums. Maybe find a few profiles of kitty/puppy players and ask them. Me and My girl kitty play quite a bit, she has ears, a tail, and cut little sparkly collar with a bell. Sometime soon she wants to try sleeping on the floor next to the bed.

I never thought i would enjoy doing kitten play, but i did smile and watch the kittens and puppy play at the club and at camp. They were in different levels of outfits but all were having fun and being silly.

Last year we had a dress up holloween at the club and i went as a black cat just with the stuff you get at the party stores.. black body suit, belt with tail, ears and wore white socks for paws. my hands were free. 

I did splurge and about begged right in Target to Captain to get me a pink shiny cat collar and leash..   That should have been my first indication that something was different in my attitude about kitten play, since i don't do pink, shiny or collect collars to wear like shoes with an outfit.. but there i was "please can i wear it when i'm the kitten....."  and grinning ear to ear when we bought it.

at the club i was just walking around (cement floor so need knee pads for play down there, so most of the kittens and puppy walk downstairs) and enjoying the night and being on the leash. i tried to meow a few times but did not do a good job..   We went upstairs and there was another kitten playing with a sting at her owner's feet. i looked at Captain and He undid the leash and i just jumped in.. i was on all fours playing, chaseing, curling up, doing all the little things you think of...  the good thing is that i had a fun kitten to play off of, which helped me relax and learn, though there really is nothing to learn, you know what a cat does..

later downstairs, walking again, the kitten came running towards me being chased by a puppy.. she caught my eye and we smiled.. as she passed by, i broke away from Captain (i would NEVER do that not in kitten mode) and jumped in front of the puppy, hissed and raised my hands er.. paws and claws.. LOL the puppy skidded to a stop, the kitten came back and we chased the puppy..

We just had fun. While it would only have taken a word from Captain to put me back in my place as slave.. He let me stay in kitten mode and i had fun.

putting the pink collar on is the signal to be kitten.. we have only done the kitten play at home only two times now.  but they were breaks from the norm and fun nights.. playful and relaxed.

as to what to do, just do the things a cat does. i don't strach and bite Sir. i bat at Him and have hissed but never try to hurt Him. mostly pester Him.. rub on legs,  curl up on his lap or next to Him.  play with stings, cat toys, general cat like behavior.

it really is more fun then i thought it would be.

goodpet, what a nice story to share! it puts more light on the matter for me, how fubn it is intended to be.

the closest i get to being a kitten in curling up in His lap and being pet. i like the affection like this, just feels nice.

i am J's puppy. i use those absorbant pads that people use for housebreaking dogs to go to the bathroom on. i eat out of a bowl on the floor. i play tug of war and fetch with J. Sometimes i walk around the house on a leash. He will hide toys behind His back and i will sniff around for it. He will bop me on the head with it and i'll growl and try to tear it apart. i will cock my head at unfamiliar sounds. i will chew on things (and get in trouble). When J is busy with something but i want to play i will get low to the ground and jump up, drop toys at His feet, and nudge Him. If He doesn't want to play i go lie down on a soft blanket or chew on my bone. i love my bone. J asked me if i would be bothered by having a real dog in the house. i said no...but i wasn't sharing my bone. J has taught me lots of commands like sit, lie down, stand up, heal, etc. He said that i was acting so much like a puppy a couple of times that He forgot i was human. He actually believed that He was playing with a puppy. 

i love being in puppy mode because i can escape from real life for a while. It's a lot of fun and a great workout. i'm telling you, being a pup is hard work. It's like a vacation for the mind. The longer i am in the role, the more i get into it.

As for clothing and whatnot. i am usually naked. i wear small boxing gloves on my hands so that i can't grasp anything. Since they are big and puffy they look like a puppy's oversized paws. They make me a bit clumsy which adds to the realness of it since puppies are clumsy as well. i also wear kneepads since the house is carpeted. The first time i was a puppy i rubbed all the skin off my knees. i still have scars from it. Not fun. i still want to get a tail, a butt plug with a furry tail attached. If J and i went to a social event like a club or party, i am not sure what kind of clothing i would wear. i can't wait to find out though.  

The biggest thing i can tell you is have fun. Just let go and have fun.

Yeah, the butt plug tails are a pain as far as authenticity goes. I have had to make due to foxtail plugs which run about $45-50.

Yeah, i think those are the ones J and i were looking at. The dog tails are usually made of plastic or some other matireal that doesn't look very real. W/we are going for the long furry kind. i sorta identify as a retriever so this kind of tail works best anyway.

Sir and I very much love persona play, and one of my personas is Alix. Alix is a very loving, playful, mischievous kitty.

As Alix, I have curled up in Sir's lap and meowed and purred. I have kneaded his stomach and thighs with my hands, digging in my claws. I have licked his neck, arm, face, and other bits. When I was coming out as Alix in public, someone decided to be a bit more forceful in physically teasing me (I think the person poked me with a finger 3 or 4 times) and I lashed out and clawed the gal. I hiss at the dog if she gets too close when I'm not expecting it.

Sir pets my hair, tickles my belly, and scritches the small of my back where my tail would be. I have not gotten on the floor and played with toys, though I have dressed up in a dress with matching stockings and gloves that had leopard spots, and drawn on my face to add whiskers and a kitty nose. I like to bat at dangly things, catch at things with my teeth, and curl up on soft cuddly things to sleep.

I don't have any special costume (the dress and stockings were purchased at a stripper store but just as sexy wear, long before I started kitty play). I do have some cat collars that I have worn at times, and would be open to more involved forms of play although we haven't done those forms.

Your master should make sure you don't have worms.  I'd recommend Drontal Cat XL Tablets since you probably weigh more than 6kg.

Sir leaves those kinds of things to the vet, just as he does with his biological cats. :) Thanks for the suggestion though!
