While in all actuality I am still 'undecided' in my D/s/switch orientation, I thought this would be the best place to ask: What do Y/ya'll think about learning to dom(me) by being sub first? Bottom up? Top down? Dive in wherever? Just jot down Y/your opinion/experience if Y/you would like. Thanks!

Well, learning from the bottom up was considered 'earning your leathers" in older styles of D/s.

It does help once to have some experience in basic safety issues and the bottom mindset before moving on,if you decide to.

From an SM perspective, I find that having significant experience on the bottom has made me a better Top.

If you're not a sub I don't think 'pretending' to be one will really help you understand what it is to be a sub. To me it seems like a doctor trying to be a lawyer, you may have read all the right books but that doesn't mean you know how to be a lawyer. If you're a doctor or a Dom you should go with what you are and learn how to be that. All the time you spend learning how to be a sub isn't really progress since you're not experiencing things as a sub, just as a Dom 'acting' as a sub.
