Just a couple curiosities, 1. is anyone else going to Otakon this year?  And 2. if anyone plays WoW and is looking for a d/s based guild there's a few on Sisters of Elune.  Though you'd get more info on www.darknestfantasyerotica.com

I want to go but I has no monies for hotel and ticket. [:o]

StellaByStarlite -> RE: Gamer subs! (7/11/2007 12:44:53 PM)

Oh, all you wild, crazy gamers, lol. ;)

I used to tabletop RP, a long time ago, when I could handle staying up until the wee hours a bit better. The WhiteWolf games, like VtM and whatnot. I have no clue what's new in the gaming world these days. Guess Team Scrabble with the husband doesn't count, huh? lol

actually, he and I can't even play that anymore because we get obnoxiously competitive and end up arguing with each other, rofl

ProlificNeeds -> RE: Gamer subs! (7/11/2007 1:16:39 PM)

Yes and yes, and yes. But any partners I have had that game with me are free to swipe what they want off my account anyway, or play my characters for that matter.

I do take some personal glee in getting my partner killed from time to time.. usually with a "I lost my heal button as soon as you attacked those 30 monsters" kind of tactic. It reminds him I am not an NPC designed for his benefit and advancement... much to his irritation. [:D]

< looks at post on board> maybe I should just stick with pac man [:D]

The new thing is lots of indie games, it seems. Most of them crap by my reckoning. The White Wolf games (VtM, MtA, WtO, WtA, CtD, KotE), particularly the old ones, along with those from Atlas Games (Unknown Armies, Ars Magica), remain favourites for me. That, and freeform games from settings I like, e.g. Wheel of Time, or Sword of Truth.

One doesn't grow out of these games, one grows into them.
Life experience adds to the game experience.

Of course, it can sometimes be hard to get people together, which is why me and nephandi sometimes use this wonderful invention of collaboration, the Internet, for what we'd usually do around the table. Play by mail, forums, chat, and so forth. One of our players (in the regular group) has a 30 minute drive each way, so playing via chat or a conference call will add 1 hour of good gaming, if not more (considering how it tends to limit the amount of socializing before the game starts).

We've been trying to get people together for various online RP bits that would do better with more players, both regular RP and kink-positive RP (i.e. regular RP, but the chars can be kinky, and one doesn't gloss over all the details of it, though the level of detail is dependent on what kind of game one is running).

Hi

Yes Master Indie games is popular theese days and some of them like Multiverser, Draug and The Everlasting is good. Others are a bit to artsy for me. It might just be me that are not refined enough, but when i sit down around the gaming table that be real life or online, i want stories of magick and monsters and romances and adventures and magick artifacts. i want to be entertained. i do not want to play how it is like to live in a refugee camp or stories of abstract sosiety critiqe. It is nothing wrong whit it byt it is not my cup of tea.

Oterwise in the Trad game world, more and more and more D20 games pop up. Otherwise White Wolf have a new setting, World of Darkness 2.0 or New World of Darkness it is like the old one just changed enough that the old suplements are not possible to use anymmore and the games are more about fighting and have a simpler but much poorer in my opinion dice system. It is even coming out a World of Darkness D20 by Monte Cook published by White Wolf. :O

For the time being it is a low period in my opinion as to new good RPG games, everything is either very comersial or very artsy and the two camps fight like hell, why can there not be a middle path as whit old World of Darkness, not uber comersial, but not meant to be modern art either.

Comerial that reminds me. Master an i am in an online Wheel of Time game that need more members. It is turning out quite good to. Just PM me or him if you are interested.

i wish you all well

In a past relationship, I once startled another DS couple by announcing "Game trumps Collar!" (in the middle of a game that I was winning).

My owner and I are both gamers. I remember when we met and talked about games and shared views about different games, he said "Will you marry me?" [&:] Right now we have a bet. Its all about who will win in a match of Tekken 3 [8D] But I know he will beat the crap out of me, I cant compare with him on this game. But it will be fun though

Drifa -> RE: Gamer subs! (8/6/2007 7:33:03 PM)

I'm a gamer sub, but my Lady doesn't like computer games. Which is fine, as I'm not much on John Wayne movies (OK, OK, I'll watch the ones where Maureen O'Hare gets spanked). We each have our own interests. We have time we spend together, we have time we spend doing our own thing.

I play (among others) a paladin in Everquest2, Lucan D'Lere server. And while I have a friend or two there that I meet in my inn room for some erotic fun, *most* of the time I'm in-game I am being a responsible guild officer, helping people, and taking beatings so others can live (the primary job of the paladin, natch). And of course, in EQ2, you HAVE to be a masochist to play a paladin, pretty much...

A very nice thing about my Lady *not* being a gamer is she will come and make me to go to bed at a reasonable hour. Even if I'm raiding.

Hehehe. Gamers yay! Vltava introduced me to a group of people once and I introduced myself as follows:

"Basically I'm His bitch. He crooks his finger and I pew pew!" (On my mage)

I'm leveling a priest now so I can follow Him around and heal for Him, hehe.

As to "lewtz" if He wants something, He takes it. He's not overly greedy or anything, but I respect that even in game He's my Master, and I come when He calls and do as He wishes. Like in RL situations, we find ways to make it work without offending anyone, and respect in-game politics.

Is this ultra-lame gamer silliness? Yes! but umm, that's where we met, so it just flows, rofl.

vltava -> RE: Gamer subs! (8/15/2007 2:11:39 PM)

I met my slave on World of Warcraft.  She obeys me in game as she does IRL.  I grant her great freedom in the game, in part because she is more experienced than I am and I trust her judgment, but as her Master I am still the final arbiter; she must come when I call and if I require certain loot she must pass on it.  And in the flipside, if she wants to pass on loot for my sake, but I feel she needs it more, I will require her to take it for herself.  In a lot of ways I am changing the way that she plays the game, but she has assured me that it does not bore her or cause her to lose interest, otherwise I would change my approach.  I'm a mage and she is also a mage; she has an alt that is a priest, and I'm requiring her to level her priest so we can be a semi-permanent damage + healbot team.  Naturally I fully assist her with the leveling.

I get pleasure from loaning her out in the game, too.  We have friends on both sides of the Lifestyle in the game.  There is a domme that I've instructed my slave to obey whenever help is required, and it pleases me.

We help each other a great deal.  I am almost certainly ahead in the exchange because she insists on enchanting for free, and a lot of high level chants get pretty expensive, but it is not important to me who benefits more.  We both get great pleasure from our relationship and the way it works, otherwise it would not work.

Neat coincidence, within two minutes of each other.  Naturally the thread title caught my eye.

You... you are a saucy little wench.  I'm sure you know you'll get what's coming to you.  [;)]

Tobes -> RE: Gamer subs! (8/15/2007 2:30:04 PM)

This might be a little off-topic, but I'm totally psyched about Dragon*Con 2007.  Just a few more weeks of waiting and I'll be spending my Labor Day weekend roleplaying.  How many of you are going to be frequenting the Gaming Hall with me this year?

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Gamer subs! (8/15/2007 2:54:36 PM)

It was the same way with me on any of the burn out  racing games, I'd get all competitive and go after any driver who tried to slam me or run me off the road, and I'd hoop andh ollar in delight when I nailed my mark and made other drives burn out. or I'd be like bitch no you didn't I am kicking your ass, when a car tried to slam me:P Or I'd shout yeah take that. My x was throughly amused.

I want to go, almost go to go, had everything arranged except the hotel room.... and then I checked my class schedule... *sighs* Damn college classes and interfering with my gamer desires!

koimizu -> RE: Gamer subs! (8/15/2007 3:28:02 PM)

Hmm...not a chance.  If it was something like a heal or status affecting item, then i would have no problems sharing or offering it for free where i would charge or trade a guildmate or teammate.

However the rare cards, drops, forges or whatever in game that drop into my lap like gifts from the Wintereenmas God?

HELL NO!  And any that expect me to share...are...are just ...just mean.

Actually...as a punishment...that would be devastating to be stripped of my rares.

*Shudders at the thought*

Tobes -> RE: Gamer subs! (8/15/2007 9:15:20 PM)

Truly a problem.  Curses!  I missed D*C last year for my friend's wedding (who gets married on Labor Day weekend?), and while I don't regret that, it was a shame I couldn't do both.  Maybe you can convince your professor(s) to let you, uh, learn at a distance?

Constanza -> RE: Gamer subs! (8/16/2007 12:48:15 PM)

it's all about agreements and rules. As my Master doesn't play games (like Battlefield or Guildwars) and he allowes me to play, i am free to do in games what ever i want. Not every part of your sub live has to be included in the sub lifestyle. But again that is what your agreements say.
