I am looking for some help with the following idea. I've tried to incorporate some of the important points in the "training house" topic. Please let me know what you all think.

Thanks for your help
Scott

Mission Statement:

Provide a safe, secure and clean place to serve the social and educational needs of the growing pan-sexual community of Southern Ontario and the GTA.

Use common sense and education to help dispel the public's negative prejudices. Offer educational material and workshops for those curious to learn more in terms that can be understand by everyone.

It would be our club. Members would volunteer to serve on the Board of Directors. The club will grow, expand and change direction to meet the need of the membership.

Why a Club?

Private membership ensures privacy, security and greater freedom. Members abide by the rules that they, the club, have set. Membership can be revoked after due process.
Membership also has its privileges. The club could offer discounted prices for toys, clothes, books, DVDs, workshops.

What should such a Club offer (and in what order should I start?):

1 - Bed & Breakfast: at least 2 residence/play chambers - each a different theme. Each chamber complete with private bathroom and kitchenette, double bed and play station. One would have a fireplace and one a balcony facing a private lane. Suggested cost $80/night ($150 weekend) based on double occupancy.
Note: It is legal to for both men and women to be topless in Toronto.

2 - Bar/social area: This is a member's area to socialize with a small dance area/play station. It is a common area available to all members at no charge.

Special arrangements could be made to host private parties, perhaps host a munch etc. It would serve beverages and food but at low membership prices. (we are basically looking for cost plus compensation to working staff - in a perfect world, we could get student members to volunteer to serve for tips which can add up by the way!)

Question: Does anyone know about Ontario liquor laws for private clubs?

3 - Dungeon - a common area at no charge for planned social events. It would be available for private parties for a more intimate gathering.
(a small charge may be needed to compensate Dungeon Monitor as needed.)

4. Workshops
Member's Education: Local club experts may provide free workshops. On occasion, the club may bring in outside experts as per membership needs and availability. This would normally be at free to members.

Public Education: As per our mission to dispel the myths around the lifestyle, local experts can use the club to provide workshops to the more general public.

5. Membership pricing: The club can obtain goods at wholesale prices and pass along savings to the members. Local artisans may offer their goods/services to fellow members.

Possible offerings include but are not limited too:
- Toys
- clothes, shoes, boots: all sizes but a limited stock on hand. Most orders to be fulfilled from suppliers warehouse. In other words, members get a great deal but would need to wait a few days for pick up.
- DVDs: Education and erotic.
- music
- books: Educational, erotic reading, general?
- Other: any ideas?

6. Governing Board

- Minimum 12 positions + President. Use Robert's Rules of Governance to conduct meetings.
- President has no vote except in the case of a tie.
- all members in good standing are eligible to present themselves as candidate for the board.
- board terms should be a minimum of 2 years. Half the number of positions to renew each year.
- If more candidates present then open positions then the club would hold an election to
determine the winners. All members in good standing may vote.

What should the Club cost?

- Regular members (annual fee of $100/$125/$150? (please give feedback)
(Should we offer 50% their first stay or other special for Regular members?)
- Student members (annual fee of $25/$35/$50? (please give feedback)
- Out of town members (annual fee of $75/$100/$150? (please give feedback)
- Founding Directors (annual fee of $1000/$1200/$1500? (please give feedback (Contact me to discuss benefits of purchasing a Director ship - and yes, sometimes Noblise oblige!)
