Whee, my first new thread here in the forums. This is something I almost never see mentioned here, though the opposite thought is expressed a lot in the Ask a Submissive/Slave area. How many people here are the most easygoing, laid back people in their daily life and, at first glance, would probably even be mistaken for submissive? I know I would be. Hell, my friends who know my interests don't think of me as having a Domme side unless they're lucky (or maybe it's unlucky) enough to see it when I'm dealing with ignorant or whiny people in the world.

Yeah, I'd have to say that I fit this. I'm a nurse, and my last (rather short-lived) job had me being charge nurse ... and I so was not happy with that. I don't want to have that kind of responsibility, I would so much rather have someone else in charge at work. I have absolutely no ambition (at this point in my life) when it comes to being in charge of people at work and having that kind of life and death (literally) responsibility ...

I'm very laid back in my daily life, polite to a fault, even to my submissive. But... there have been a few that have seen the "fire shoot from my eyes and lightning bolts from my fingertips" when I go into complete Domina mode. Generally from that point on they don't have any problem seeing me as a Dominant....lol Jewel

It totally depends on the situation. Generally, people consider me dominant. But, I can easily modify myself and be highly submissive externally. I try to be hyper-aware of the vibes and perceptions I'm sending out, and I like to be a chameleon to be able to make everyone around me happy and turned on. It's part of being an ultra-courtesan slut. So I guess as I've always said, I'm a dominant personality but slave orientation.

Yes, it seems as if almost anyone who even knows i'm interested in this stuff automatically takes me as a sub. Maybe it's the picture. :)

It happens, but not often. My friends know how laid back I am, people who just meet me think the same, but don't commonly mistake me for a sub, just an easygoing Domme. To each their own. ~LG

I don't know the others posting personally, but I would say, if others looked closely and paid attention , they should see the dominant side revealing itself, even if only in glimpses. I am very polite (all the time, actually), so, to include another thread some miss my dominant side at first, even when playing. In everyday life though, although softspoken, my occupation in my town is dominated by men, and I do have to show teeth every once in a while. My outward demeanor is calm and softspoken, but not many venture far enough for me to show my aggressiveness, it's like they "just know". I have even had Masters approach me, to see if there was any "switch" in me, and have had some very satisfying scening with them being the ones to submit. We are what we are, dominant or submissive, and if our personalities run true 24/7, it is visible should any choose to see. I do understand those that don't want stress jobs and are dominant otherwise, and also the numbers of submissives that are "in charge" in everyday life, and wish to give up control. For me though, it's just part of my personality, good or bad, and is the same in real life, and personal relationships also.

My appearence is definitely on a sub side; short, slim, baby face, soft spoken. Yes, some people get an impression of me opposit sometimes, but they'd notice later that I'm pretty much "dominant" ..... For just fun of it, I act like a sub to certain people :)

A lot of people would peg me as a Domme more than a slave. I have a definite manner - I hate people wasting my time, and I generally know what I want from people. I've done work in the theatre directing, and I'm a bitch to be acting for! But all things looked at closely, you can see the submissive there - of course I want my actors to be perfect, we have to please the audience! And if we're all working on a joint project, well, I want to keep the boss happy, and let him see we're all doing our best! I also have zero patience for people who assume a gorean slave is nothing more than a fuck-toy, or who make needless personal comments about me. These people quickly find out my opinion of them, and generally leave muttering about how I'm not a "real" slave, then. However, with genuine Masters (my own in particular) and Mistresses, or anyone I come across in my daily life who is willing and able to take charge in a no-nonsense fashion, I'm one of the most submissive and deferntial people you'll ever meet. Slave - not doormat!! Respectfully, Minx

I am easygoing, pleasant, easy to get along with, helpful, kind, a good hostess, etc... but it is obvious that I am dominant. People feel it and it makes a lot of them feel safe. - LA

I'm very type B and creative, but I'm definitely not always "laid back" and my unwillingness to back down at times would probably let people peg me.
