is there such a thing as pro submissive. someone who gets paid to submit to clients?

Driver1961 -> RE: is there such a thing as a pro submissive/ (3/18/2007 5:49:24 AM)

He dips his lid,

Yes there are.   There is one advertised on C/M in Oz for business.   It is common to have pro subs in Pro BDSM establishments and prostitution establishments often have untrained type prodommes (Mistresses) and sub girls known as 'rough trade girls'

how would someone get involved in that?

ExSteelAgain -> RE: is there such a thing as a pro submissive/ (3/18/2007 6:58:47 AM)

I saw a profile of a sub near me that said she was a pro submissive, also.  I read the profile carefully because I often know those in the lifestyle in some fashion, even if it is only online. I was trying to figure out who she might be, to be candid.  What it said was that her Dom would be present when she played.  So I think many pro submissives are the results of Doms making subs work for them.

To each his own, but as a philosophical point, I find the concept difficult. How can someone Dom a sub if he is having to pay her? There is certainly no power transfer. It is obvious the best that happens is a BDSM/sensation play scene. If a Dom has no one to flog and wants it bad enough to pay for it, by all means do it because it may release dangerous built-up frustrations and keep him/her out of nonconsensual situations.

ExSteelAgain,
Couldn't the same be said about a pro Domme? If they are being paid by the bottom, who is really in charge?

There is a pro club in LA that is always hiring. Follow this link: http://passivearts.com/

There are instructions about the application process - Good luck!

He dips,

If one phones around massage/prostitute parlours, and asks for a submissive girl or rough sex girl they will get pointed in the right direction.

In my experience here in Oz- they are not being prostituted by their Masters. dont have Masters- just working girls who pursue dominant clients.  I have met 3 ex pro subs who are now in the Lifestyle and happy to have found themselves with Masters.

Yes, some Masters may 'sell off' their slaves for a night, etc,  One I know sold His slave to a Dom in another country for a fortnight and was paid handsomely.  Not everyones idea of ownship but it worked for both of them.

Gee ExSteel,  Since when does hiring a car- cos you dont have one- mean you're not controlling a car?  It might be better or worse than your own car, but it fills a need when you dont have a car.   It's existential?

Warm regards Driver

i think that it's really similar to pro-domme situations (how is it submission if you're paying? kind of issues). i also think it's good to point out that many people who might otherwise be classified as sadists and dominants wouldn't necessarily take out their sadism nonconsensually if they didn't have another outlet. i know it's a very real possibility some would, though. but yeah, i think the power transfer issues are very similar to the issues in a pro-dom/me situation.

for me, this is something i would consider doing - and yes, He'd be involved. it wouldn't necessarily be me "working for Him," unless He wanted it that way...i mean, it would be something both of us wanted, and i know He would take into account my feelings, thoughts, ideas, and proposals about the situation, etc. i don't think He'd ever push me into doing it.

Peeping under Driver's hat. Hey, Driver. Well, I did say that it could be a good thing if the Dom has built-up unfulfilled drives that are not met. Sure he meets his needs in a legal way. It can be an existential experience in that all he knows he is flogging and she is there. Nothing else is real to him or matters, including the fact he paid her.

I think they are called taxpayers.

Shylahgirl -> RE: is there such a thing as a pro submissive/ (3/19/2007 11:02:51 AM)

I have heard of one or two por subs in my area.

Personaly I think that if you sub for a top that you don't know you have to have a death wish orcompleatly hate your self.

People care the least for what they pay for (I have experinced this through a year of escorting) if they pay you they expect everything you have. From a pro sub they would expect to be able to do ANYTHING they want to you.

Usually those who pay for a sub are doing so because no sane, healthy, bottem will play with them. Usuially this is because the top is eather a bad top, psychotic, or to new to really know anything.

I know one pro sub who ended up with permanant nerve damage from one client. She was lucky that nerve damage is all she had at the end. The clent tied her up and just started stabing her with needles. the only part that she had agreed to was being tied up and he didn't stop when she said no.

I have seen escorts who will do pro sub calls, usually they do one or two and end up leaving the sex work buisness all together.

Pro subs don't last long, because being a sub/slave means you give up your control (even if it's only breafly) most subs quickly learn to never give up their control to someone they don't know.

When your hands are tied and you're gaged who's going to stop the client from doing what ever they want, weather you say no or not.

Machicisem is diffrent then self hatred and no healthy machiosist would ever do pro subbing.

I wonder if ophelia has taken notice of this thread. Would sure love to hear her opinion. Well, OP question has been answered. Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as a pro-sub.

Goodness, where to start.

How nice to be limited to only two such options.

It couldn't possibly be because it's a valid calling for someone, or that you trust yourself to maintain control, or any possible healthy good valid reason?

And any good pro of any sort knows how to let them foster this illusion while completely maintaining control.

My experience is completely different from this- my experience is that people pay so they don't have to worry about relationships or emotions, so that they can get exactly what they want without fussing or cajoling and so they can get someone they find physically hot without grief.

And I know 10 non pros who say they have nerve damage from playing also.  And?

Does that mean that they went in over their heads?  I know pro subs who have been doing this for a very long time happily.

A good pro knows how to manipulate the situation to give the illusion of lack of control while in reality maintaining it.

Bondage is indeed a hard limit for most pros.  And there's no denying the risks and issues involved.

But I'd scale back on your assumptions of what a pro MUST be or equating playing with someone you don't know as certain death or damage.  Even as a non pro, I've played with people I just met five minutes ago dozens of times.  I'm all happy.

Yes there is such a thing.  To get into it would be like any other business.  Get a business plan, facilities, training, security, advertising.
