Recently,  I had a cage described for me that is under the bed.  From what I understand it is wooden, like wooden dowels fashioned to be a cage under the bed, not just folded for storage, the actual cage with adjustments being made to a normal bed.

Has anyone seen a kit or plans such as this?  If so, where might I find it?

Thank you..curious

P.S.  Googled and Yahoo’ed already…

cause there’s a monster living under my bed
whispering in my ear
there's an angel with a hand on my head
she say i’ve got nothing to fear

there’s a darkness deep in my soul
I still got a purpose to serve
so let your light shine into my hole
god don’t let me lose my nerve
lose my nerve.

Never have heard of an under the bed cage of dowels, but I did make one from rope once.......
Hopefully someone will stroll along and give the instructions!

For some reason, I think I have seen something somewhere, but I don't recall where.

The bed, it seems, would have to be something like the 4-posters where you have to climb UP into the bed, yes?  I know with my bed it would be difficult for a human to fit, cage or not.

we have this...http://www.ultimatebed.com/      in oak.
see the drawers at the end of the bed? They are the full length of the bed, great for storing toys, long canes, etc, and lots and lots of shoes!!;)
but this bed is shipped in boxes, you have to put it together, and we spoke of not puting in the drawers, and using the space there as a cage.. it's plenty big. you could use the doors, or make some with dowels, add a lock, what ever.

Exactly and I still think yet adjustments have to be made to the bed...I'm thinking it will be plans instead of a kit...I'm sure there can be some beautiful spindle woodwork...

I'll keep on, keeping on looking..

Thank you.

Yeah, that is an awesome bed - with or without a cage under it.

These guys are great...and have started making such a bed~cage:
http://www.dungeondesignsinc.com/site/product_detail.asp?prod_ID=1

Also, I just saw this description on another site..sounds like the boxspring and bedframe were replaced by the cage:
I built a very sturdy cage under our bed, (space problems) it appears to be just a pedestal for the bed, but when side panels are removed, it’s a full fledged cage, very sturdy, there is a pass thru for food trays etc, and enough room to fully stretch out, I can even get up on hands and knees, the bars are remarkably strong (3/4 inch wood dowels. It wasn’t an expensive project at all. It cost less than $75 including hardware, from home supply store.

May i ask what site this was found on?

curiously seeking, and all:  I suspect this may be a case of life imitating art.  Well, if not "art" -- TELEVISION.  Check out Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Season 1, Episode 22, entitled "Slaves" in which one of the plots is a psychopathic B/D/S/M couple (don't you just LOVE how they portray us?) who use exactly this type of  bed to keep their young sexy Roumanian victim in between torture sessions and such.  Good detective work, rippling muscles and righteousness save the young woman in the end.

If you really want to read the script, here it is, as captured by an amateur SVU fanatic and posted on the web (and you think YOU waste time?).

"It's the same thing," he said.

Actually this would be a simple project honestly. I've been drawing up plans for this concept for awhile now.

Love the idea,, but being that all the space under my bed is storage boxes of winter clothes and who really knows how many pair of shoes - dont know where would put it all! Is the bed your describing also one that is elevated using bed cones/blocks that allows for more room?
