MistressTrin -> Question about the Mummy (4/7/2005 5:41:24 AM)

I have been aching to try mummification and was wondering if anyone out there could help me with suggestions for the best wrappings. Saran Wrap is what I hear most, but am worried about the breathability factor on the slave's skin. If you have any tips or experience and want to share, I'd be grateful!

The two big things I think you want to watch for is circulation and a sub potentially getting overheated. When you have someone wrapped up in something, body heat has a harder time dissipating.

I've used something called Vetrap for partial mummification. There is similar stuff with different names, but the Vetrap seems to be both inexpensive and comes in long pieces. And pretty colors too!

You'll definitely want a pair of bandage scissors in order to get this stuff, or any other mummification material, off quickly and easily. These have a flat back, and are designed for cutting bandages with a minimal chance of cutting sub while you are at it. [;)]

I'd suggest trying some partial mummification (maybe knees to ankles) initially and then practicing using the bandage scissors. From experience, I can tell you that some materials tend to gum up your attempts to cut them off once they are in place.

Oh am I in heaven!! Thank you for the tips and the link for the Vetrap...ordered my first bunch of black, purple and white...

I have a 3 pair of the scissors you mentioned so my cutting won't be hampered with gummy cutting. I have had some success with keeping the gum off of the blades by rubbing them with soap...and a friend of mine uses turtle wax! I appreciate your response and am looking forward to trying out the technique!

Thanks again! Peace~Trinity
