Well this just makes me all kinds of hungry....I has gator once.  It was a little greasy. Sadly most of this sounds like the stuff dad says they used to make all of the time.

I had cod cheeks in New Brunswick a million years ago. One of the best fish dishes I've ever had.

Haven't looked at the rabbit recipes because I'm the only person in the house who eats bunnies.

Any good venison recipes? People give me venison but I've never managed to cook it so that I like it.

I have consumed the majority of what you listed....No possum or racoon yet...Just one road kill away from dinner.   mmmmmmmm! Possum.

I had Gator once, too. I liked it. If my doggies ever manage to actually catch a squirrel they both hate 'em) and don't eat it first, I might cook it, I dunno (I am not big on dissecting and cleaning those kinds o' critters - I'd cook it though, maybe, if somebody else volunteered to do that part for me).

My favorite "cheap meal" (and it's not on the list, but it's almost all I ever ate when a student and in my first apartment) is Top Ramen Noodles (any flavor) w/cooked, chopped up hot-dogs. I know what is in hot-dogs (a freind of mine w/ a Master's in Biology told me once "for my own good", but I still just love 'em (even though by all rights they should probably turn my stomach).
