You feel you are evil in your heart

but when you look at me, I see a new start

You feel your evil in your way's

but I know you have never strayed

I see so much passion in your eyes

and you fail to realize

you are so much more

but we have yet to explore

You have so much good

and I dont think you have really understood

I will show you a new way

but as of yet the new day

I know you will not stray

You have me to show you a new way

You yearn not to depart

I will show you a new start

If you have true love in your heart

I know we could never depart

You think of a notion

but love is the most powerful emotion

If that is truly in your heart

best believe you can have a new start

Good poem. Can you take a wee bit of criticism on one word?

Is that a tense of "to stride" or a misspelling of "strayed"? It could be the typo although the walking confidently could be what you meant. ("His stride was confident as he strode into the saloon then he strade up to the bar and ordered a whiskey.")
