I have a question for you about tying with silk scarves. It is my fetish and being a trained rope binder I am very good at this little used but fine art. My biggest problem is finding willing partners to bind. When topping someone I like to use scarves and sexual teasing instead of ropes and pain. I've always thought there was a gray area there in between curious and hard core extreem where people just want to be tied up and enjoy light to moderate torture and sexual stimulation. My question is, where the heck do I fit in here. I am a switch but mostly enjoy topping. Any thoughts on silk scarf bondage, experiences. Any thoughts on my gray area observation. Any questions?

I have a very good vanilla male friend who told me once that his girlfriend had asked him to tie her up with silk scarves. He was simultaneously horrified and excited and I encouraged him to do it..why not, right? Apparently it went well and the next time, he asked to be tied to see what it felt like... This may be an effective means of introducing the scarves into your play. Many men (and women) like to be tied with scarves, since they seem "prettier or less harsh" than ropes, saran, chains, etc. Since you switch, it could be a nice way to introduce it into play that gives your partner the confidence it isn't scary and the control they may need over the concept. The next time may be easier to tease them into the scarves and they will be confident it's not so bad and can be quite fun. I have not used silk scarves per se, I have however used several of my neckties...they are usually silk or a very smooth soft fabric...they tie well (no pun intended) and knots come loose easily, and since they are longer than most scarves, they can be useful in many configurations...and besides, you can wear them and keep them in your car innocuously... My sister presented our Master with two beautiful silk scarves as a gift. Her hopes being that he would incorporate them into sessions. I'd love the feel of silk as a blindfold, and between sister and me, we are hoping to encourage Master to "tease" us with the softness of silk!

i totally agree with glassdoll everyone has there own thing and thats yours so dont be afraid or confused by it have as much fun with it as you can. and if your partner is afraid of doing it let them have some fun with it first. who knows if you make it look good enough....[;)]

hi, I'm a silk fetish who love to be silkbound and silken mummified with silk & silky material, like silk & silky scarves, wide silky strip, silk ribbon, etc... have you ever tied a real person using silk scarves before??? if yes, how many silk scarves did you used and does your scarvesbound victim make his/her escape? there was a lady in US who told me that she would like to have me s8ilkbound and silken mummified with more than 150 silk & silky scarves, dont you think this is a joke...lol. maybe she dont know that I am quite small size cos I am an asian. definitely there is no way she can used more than 150 silk & silky scarves to bind and wrapped me up... Small or not, there is no such thing as too much when it comes to bondage and mummification. 150 is just a warmup! But I still prefer multi-color saran wrap.

Sign me up for your gray area! Woo-Hoo!! I've used silk for sensation play but never had enough around to do any serious bondage with them (EXPENSIVE!!! unless you live in or near a big enough city to buy your stock in thrift stores). I've read that extra caution needs to be used with these because the silk can tighten up and cut off circulation fairly easily. Have fun.

I only have 3 silk scarves currently, one for each wrist and one tight around the neck. Haven't really needed more but the thought of 150 does arouse me.

Just a caution here: Silk can make itself very compressed. When it is tied against skin, it can actually develop rather sharp edges (depending on the thickness of the silk, of course). Ties tend to be thick enough to be safe, but some of those scarves could become quite painful quickly. Play safe.

I use mine as both restraints and as gags, I just love the stuff. Now if I can find a suitably dark and thick one to use as a blindfold I'd be happy for the rest of the year.

i am really interested in this subject, i have several (about 24) silk scarves and i try them on myself but i have to admitt my knotts are not perfect, is there a site where i could learn more about this?

for the knots? I use my trusty boy scout's handbook. Oh, and thanks for the link but that is a scarf with a blindfold sown in. I was looking for a silk scarf that will be thick enough to not need an actual blindfold, I find that look far more erotic.

Wide satin ribbon or blanket binding is very nice. I recently purchased a package of 2 1/2 " wide black satin (Blend) with a finished edge and cut them to a prefered lengh. Oooooohhh!
