I can only think of one very stupid thing.
I was updating the databases of the company where I worked. the mouse slipped and because I was in a hurry I confirmed the action without checking where I was copying them. I overwrote all the accounting data.
Thanks god they made a backup everyday and only that morning's work was lost and they had to re-enter it. but it toke a couple months until they forgive me.

I learned two very important lessons:
1. never ever use the same name for two diferent databases even if they are in diferent places and similar meaning. murphy law is always there.
2. always make a temporary backup of anything that can be destroyed during a database update even if it's not what you are updating.

This makes me think of something i did along these lines...it was back when i was married, and my husband had a company computer because he often had to work from home after work. While, technically, it was not for personal use...he would allow me to go on and e-mail my family and friends. One day, around the christmas holidays, i decided to send an e-mail to all my family and friends with  "our family's year in review"...i thought i was in MY address book so i clicked it to send to all recipients.

Turns out - i was in his work address book and my personal e-mail went out to 300 co-workers, including all of his supervisors, and the ceo of the company...Neither of us knew this had occured till he went to work the next day and his e-mail was full to the brim with replies and a message was waiting for him on his phone from his immediate boss...i won't even describe what went down as a result of that except that we were both thankful he still had a job, i was no longer allowed on his computer, and 300 people got to "know" up close and personal! LOL

Very true!!! Although there was enough personal info in the e-mail that he was ragged for months by his immediate co-workers! LOL

Trust a would-be when it comes to D&D-free!

I met a very nice Scottish sub:  things were going along swimmingly, so I told him to go for STD testing, which in itself is a very good test for more than the obvious reasons:  those who are serious and concerned for their Partners are happy to go or have already gone, vs. the vanilla sluts who seem to find all sorts of excuses to never go.  This means I have never caught anything except a cold from a lover, [and I wasn't very happy about that]

he agreed willingly, as all the best ones do.  A few weeks after his results were back, I planned a looooong evening/night/day's activities to celebrate a first-night together.  After a few of My orgasms from riding his face, I stripped him down:  he had a venereal wart!!  As I bundled him back into his clothes and out the door, he admitted he'd gone for testing and had been called a few times to come back for the results but never returned, yet he acted as though he had a clean bill of health.
VERY BAD DOG.
The rule-of-thumb is, if he has one disease, he likely has more, and HPV was only the visible STD.  I shudder to think what would have happened if his disease wasn't visible, and things had proceeded as usual even with condoms.  Yikes!

Now I insist on a copy of the results

One nice summer morning, we had a lazy day off planned. We slept late, then I got up, was going to drive to get some fresh donuts, and as I went to back out of the gate, I noticed the wind had blown it partially shut. I thought (half asleep) no problem, I will just bump it lightly with the bumper and it will swing gently open, and I can back through without getting out of the car (Mistake #1). Well, I bumped it just a TAD harder than intended, and it swung open, then started to swing closed again as I was halfway through. I thought, oh no! It will hit my car and scratch my paint! So, without thinking, I batted it with my palm, through the open window, as the car was moving (Mistake # 2).

All of a sudden, I felt a sharp yank on my arm, and a weird stunned feeling. My wedding ring had caught on the gate (with the car moving) and my finger was nearly cut off. If the ring had not broken in half before the bone gave, it would have snapped the finger right off. I put the car in park, got out, found my ring, and walked back to the house. My husband came out, saw me and my profusely bleeding hand, and asked me what happened. And I told the truth. (Mistake # 3. *L*)

So, instead of a nice lazy day at home, we had a day in the ER, and I wound up with quite a scar on my finger. And of course any time I criticize my family now for poor decisions, you can bet I hear this story again.

Long ..Long..ago..in a faraway life..actually when I was married.:0)..I was in a hurry one day.We had this 2 car garage but we also had this huge truck, brand new, pride of the hubbies..anyway..only truck could fit into the garage..so my car had to be out in the driveway..well, I am racing out of the house,I jump into the truck for I know that I was sitting on empty in my car and I was in to much of a hurry to go get gas...I push the garage door opener adjust the mirrors for my height, put on my sunglasses, put truck into gear and step quickly on the gas.All of a sudden BAM!...I had slammed into my own car parked directly behind the truck,of course I am in a bit of shock..but for some odd reason I continue to push on the gas peddle a little while longer..D'oh!..Then here comes the hubby, racing out the door, he sees what happens and falls to his knees with arms widespread out to the heavens.I sit there, inside my head I am screaming NO!!.I look over to hubby, he is glaring at me, and all I could do was to laugh hysterically, I frankly could not stop laughing, tears are rolling down my face. I attempt to verbalize "I am sooo sorry to my husband" but that was completely impossible...Needless to say it was rather embarassing calling the insurance company on how 2 cars on the same policy was in an accident on the same day..............oooppsss....Tempting

One of the first jobs I had was working for a company that made labarotory counter tops and heat shields from a material that was concrete and asbestos. These slabs had to be cut on a large wetsaw.  I was on about the third day when I attempted  to move a stack of theses slabs from a rack with a forklift. I had the lift all the way up ( about 12 ft ) with a stack ( 6 or 8 sheets ) and started to back out from the rack. I got about 3 feet before the forklift tilted over and came to rest on the rack with the tail of the forklift in the air. I locked the wheels and went to find my boss.
I told him I had gotten the forklift in a position I couldnt get it out of. He said no problem... and followed me back to the warehouse. When we came around the corner I thought hed faint. Jesus Christ he shouted..
We rounded up about 8 more guys to hang on the back of the forklift so he could raise the slabs back into place.
Turns out you werent supposed to lift more than one at a time lol and they had a value of about 2,ooo dollars each..
I still kept the job that summer though..

well, actually, me and a friend decided to run her car thru the carwash just like you did.......discovered why you never, never, NEVER put a convertible thru an automatic car wash!  Imagine one blonde and one blonde-in-disguise trying to stem the flow of the pressurized water with nothing more that a handful of napkins from McDonalds!  OMG!!!!  We had to sit inside the car and laugh for about 10 mins before we could even leave!  And, I have actually left the gas pump thingy in my car when I've pulled away.........ouch!

Remember, condoms only 'protect' 90% of the time, and only where they reach.
