Wow, that's quite a setup that guy has.

Honestly, I never really saw the point to media center PCs, but Linux MCE and that video may have just changed my mind. It's really impressive, and it didn't seem like he used X10 modules or anything to do it, but I could be wrong.

No, I'm pretty sure the 60 buck kit he got from Home Despot *IS* an X10, rig. And hey, that X10 shit is what? 30 years old now? Must work!

My favorite part was where it say his phone's bluetooth, and uploaded a control application...

Ah yeah. I just looked up similar kits, and it seems very simplified (plug everything in, attatch to serial port, and put in a CD).

I know there's linux apps out there specifically for interacting with X10 modules, but the way he mentioned it, I didn't get the impression he manually set everything up.

I may have to experiment with a spare PC when I get the chance. I've been adding more and more to my media setup, but I haven't spent any time simplifying how to control it.
