The United States postured endlessly about how horrible it was that China treated it's people so poorly.

Now the Chinese are posturing about how horrible the United States treats it's people.

I am not sure which is more ironic.

It's just their way of saying that we are even more rotten and corrupt than they are. It makes their peons more likely to accept the abuses which are cast upon them.
