I'm curious how many femdoms really enjoy wearing make up and enjoy being "done up" in day to day life.  Does wearing make up make you feel more sexy?  Do you wear more makeup when you are going to be engaging in BDSM activities?  Or are you more of a naturalist, and don't wear much at all?

Subs, do you like the "look" of a woman in a lot of makeup (nicely done, not caked on). What about lipstick? Nails?  Does a woman with a more natural look, without nails and make up done, appeal to you?  Do you prefer an athletic, non-uber femme woman, or does femininity link to femdomishness for you?

Male doms - what about your female subs?  Do you require them to wear makeup?  Do you dictate how much?

I always wear makeup, but don't "overdo" the make-uup I wear. I just think it makes me look prettier, and enhances my features. Part of my "thing" about wearing make-up probably has to do with having had two past Derma-brasions to remove acne scarring.  There was a time in my life I wore make-up to cover up bad skin. And even now, although my skin is very clear, and my bare skin looks good, I still have some self-consciousness about it leftover from those earlier years.

For my part, I prefer a natural look on my subs/slaves.  Some, but very light.  Absolutely nothing in the lipstick arena that shouts 'bright'.  Prefer none.

To me, more the apparel and accessories that would be highlighted.

But that's just me.  I think I have better taste than the ordinary guy.  YMMV

As I've often noted- the kink loves to exagerrate current stereotypes of femininity.  Sadly most female subs think this equates to dark eyeliner and dark lipliner which really just makes them have bad make up.

I wear make up to look more generally mature (to things like work events and interviews) and to add a bit of glow and smooth of perfection to myself on special occasions (like weddings or big events).  Otherwise, I really don't care.

I have had ex masters who really enjoyed me wearing make up as it aligned with their ideals of "what women do" and I changed to suit their preferences.

For me it's all about attitude.  I like someone cleaned up and well turned out, and I do have a fondness for a particular "type" of metrosexual style, but I prefer no make up to bad 80s style or overdone make up any day.

I only wear makeup when going out or if I'm going to scene with my sub, otherwise I prefer the natural look. I just believe its better for your skin not to wear makeup all the time.

I only wear make up when I am going to a doctor's appointment or interview or when I just want to feel pretty.. But I don't have to wear it for my Master even tho he likes it he knows I don't. And I never wear anything other than eye makeup which to me is eye shadow, eye liner and mascara. The foundation and other things are just too heavy for me to wear. So, I go natural alot.

I love make-up.  I love lip gloss, mascara, blush...everything.  Not everything all at once though.  My sis sells Avon so I get to try/buy everything.  I'm always experimenting and making suggestions to friends about what color would look good on them. I notice and adore make-up on women when it enhances their beauty. I am a self proclaimed product whore.  LOL

i rarely wear makeup. He likes it that way. i tend to find women with tasteful, light makeup or no makeup more attractive than women with medium to heavy makeup.

I LOVE makeup. I dont wear any foundation (dusting of bronzer only) as I like my skin to breathe and dont go for that caked on foundation look but eyemakeup --- thats another story.

I cant actually get too much eyemake up on. I get compliments on my eyemake up regularly, from sub men who adore make up and from other women who want to know my techniques to getting it on properly.

I LOVE lipstick too... however tend to tone that down if kissing someone is on the cards.

I also particularly LOVE men who can carry off a little eyeliner without looking in drag. A touch of black eyeliner done right on a man sends my temperature rising.

Yum

i generally prefer makeup on a Domme, especially if it's a little gothy/evil. But, i like unnatural in general... freakish hair colors, bodyart, corset-trained waists, catsuits, fetish heels, etc. Why accept what you're given by nature, when there are so many interesting ways to make your body your own?

Everyone tells me that I have pretty eyes, big and innocent looking. I wear black eyeliner, black mascara and eyeshadow the colour of tanned skin (mine is very fair.. ) to bring focus in to my eyes, which are my most appealing feature. The rest of my face goes untouched, including my lips (other than lip balm for healthy moisture, not appearance) and I rarely paint my nails because I hate the heavy feel.

Personally I think that natural colours, or colours that bring out your best features are what every female should aim for, kinky or otherwise. Thats the whole point of make up. To show off what you have, not hide what you don't.

Makeup -- blah.

Terrible for the skin, haven't worn it in years.

I perfer my girls to wear makeup. And yes, I do tell them how much. If I want to see a clown, I'd go to the circus. And I definately won't have a plain jain on my arm.

Foundation is a must for me I'm afraid, but then I have a reasonable excuse! Anything more than that depends on what I'm doing. Daily basis for work or whatever its just eyeliner, but a night out requires shadow and mascara I'm afraid, but rarely lip colour (dont like it and dont need it IMO). For me, it aids confidence, and I guess I like to look my best whatever I'm doing, wherever it is for whatever reason.

It is a pain in the neck sometimes though, having to do the whole thing every day rather than choosing to do it. But its a small price to pay to live life as I want.

I can't wear make-up. I'm allergic and I don't care what different brands promise.

I do explain that up front to any Dom I may consider subbing to. That way they can take whatever action suits them.

As for nails, my work would destroy it any way so I just keep them clean and well manicured.

To each his/her own.

I have worn makeup once in my life - to my senior prom.  I remember hearing discussions that my classmates at the time had with each other about getting up at 5am or earlier to do their hair and makeup and thinking to myself "I like my sleep way more than anyone here that might be impressed by my makeup" - not to mention that I had far fewer blemishes to cover up than they did ... I've always gone natural (except to prom ... and that one experience was enough to convince me that makeup was too much hassle) and I almost always get compliments on how I look.

I do wear makeup nearly daily,  Primarily eyes (liner, shadow, mascara), a light cream blush because I am so pale and lipstick.  I adore lipstick (as my husband can attest) and wear a variety of colors and finishes.  Most of time it a light semisheer shade with high gloss.  If I am attending a function and the mood hits me I do the whole foundation, powder, more defined "smoky" eye thing, maybe a more intense lip color.

I get compliments all the time on my makeup/appearance and my husband adores watching me paint my face :-).  I learned how to apply it and blend properly so it enhances my looks and doesn't appear garish or clownish.  I love putting it on and how I look when I do.  I consider it part of my personal magick.  Both my boys adore how I look with it on.
