Ego is a wonderous thing.  My Boy has one.  He is brilliant and strong, admired and talented, published and exalted.  Yet he has humility.  He exudes.  He never has to speak his pride.  It just 'is'... and it is there for me to expell in aural, in visual... and in gesture.
 
There is nothing negative about pride.  And nothing negative in shouting ones pressence from the rooftops.
But there is nothing weak or wrong in the quiet submissive type.  The one who sits by her Masters side, who cares for his home, or supports their Mistress' endeavours with silent admiration.
 
The only person who really matters - whos ideas are important - is ones partner.
What others think or see or believe, what we shout and express, do we truely always care?
 
 

Thanks for sharing this, I can especially relate to the part I emboldened.

Status: offline 		I didn't read but the first page of this thread, but I want powerful submissives, confident submissives. I want to be a powerful and confident submissive.

I could wish for a BIT more of the confidence...the OP is filled with a confidence that just eminates...I don't have that quite yet. But oh how delicious to see it.

Excuse me, but I understand perfectly well the concept of personal pride and having confidence in oneself. I find these qualities (and all of the attributes losttreasure describes) attractive in a submissive man, dare I say, exceptional. These are the qualities I possess and look for in my men. Moreover, if he doesn't have pride (with a touch of grace) and confidence (with a dash of humility) then I would find him incompatible. He doesn't have to "shine" like a million brilliant stars in the galaxy and blind me with his radiant being. But he can at least have some swagger. I just don't know if the pool of such men is as deep as I'd like it to be. But a domme can dream. Can't she?

Indeed- I identify as an Objectivist, so yes, Ayn Rand.
