Most doctors will NOT tell you to drink juice. Juice, even sugar free, is in fact, *no sugar added 8 and does contain sugar. Juice cannot be a full meal because there are no lipids, no protein. Yeah so you are wrong.

Again you are wrong...regular pepsi contains 27 grams of sugar per serving snapple is somewhere between 24-28g.

Grape juice has 37.4 g of carbs
Pineapple- 34.5 g carbs
* both with lett than 1 gram of fiber for a NET carb count of 34/36

Your best bet is to drink water..doctors will always tell you to drink water. There are reasons some people are under 200 pounds and those reasons usually revolve around recognizing "sometimes" foods and beverages. All things in moderation. Juice won't kill you at the ocassional sunday brunch (do poor people even have brunch? Im ignorant on this one) so lets substitute brunch with juice at the bowling alley? or the continental breakfast at the motel 6? Whatever juice is a sometimes thing..sugar is very bad for you i don't know why I MUST explain this again. Haing an all juice meal as suggested in this thread is a lot like having an all donut meal.

Actually I don't drink pepsie it's some nasty tasting Crap I drink orange kist. So snapple does have less sugar and calories than the soda I drink *emphasis on I drink*

1 can 52g sugar? there is a diet variety and there is a soda brand waistwatchers that makes a great diet orange which is made with splenda.

This thread is asking for options besides water, that's why is was started in the first place.

I am going to ignore the rest of the b/s that you posted, it is simply not worth my time to reply to it. All I will say is that there are people out there that are poorer then you, but that does not make you better then them, and just because people are poor does not mean that they are overweight. I will bet you anything that if you and I were ever to go to the same event, I would come away having made a better impression then you (assuming that you are this insulting and histrionic in real life as well)

I actually agree with Shymissa on the juice issue. On the South Beach plan we don't drink any juice except V/8 or tomato, because of the sugars. We do eat most fruits but there is enough fiber with the sugars to slow down it's digestion, and it is recommended to eat fruit with a protein.

How cute you think the internet is real. As far as a better impression...I have perfect teeth and an angular face. Even on the outside chance that someone talked to you I make a living making friends with strangers and engaging them in conversation. I have never gone to an interview, event, function where i have not come out having gained somethingIll mention agin that in real life I like people, well those that are not painfully ugly, and generally my attitude reflects that. anyway I have a paper to do, a house to clean, and a crazy stalker to ward off.

angular face? not quite, although I do have high cheekbones.

If we are going on looks then I will refer you to the catalogs that I have done work for as well as the shows I have done for Bailey's Irish Cream, Low Rider, Coppertone, Gillette (for their Venus Divine razor system), Nextell and many other companies who seem to think that I am easy on the eyes.
But you know, there is more then looks and I have that. I am in sales, you have to get people to like you to make sales, otherwise you won't make it. I also waitress, if you aren't friendly, polite and caring you won't make anything there either.
That is all that I am going to say to you, I just thank whatever forces are out there that we will most likely never meet because I have a feeling that would get ugly.

And to get this thread back on topic. Has anyone seen those new Crystal Lite on-the-go things? Just put them in a water bottle and ta-da! instant Crystal Lite. I think it's a great idea, haven't tried them yet, but I will next week and let people know.

I'd like to let you know. I can really care less if ANYONE here agree's with me or not. Because I was speaking from education only.

Now, since a doctor was in the same room with me when I wrote the response. A good friend of mine. Yep, actually he does have a degree and a license to practice in the state of California.
He did say...drink juice. So, I'm merely re-stating my point.

If you care to disagree fine. Although I'd definately recommend actually asking a doctor first.
If I'm wrong and you actually find a doctor to ask and he disagree's, big deal. No loss.
Not all doctor's were made from the same mold.

Hhmmm well . . . . . not everyone is ugly on the outside. And looks aren't everything. Perhaps they are for you now . . . . . but just wait. Your time will come. Unless of course you plan of course on spending millions on cosmetic surgery. And since you seem just like the shallow self-absorbed type of person who will, I would suggest you make sure to research your Doctor. There is something to be said for growing old gracefully. And for some reason I just don't see you doing that. LOL How sad for you.

I'm curious as to what it is you do??? Besides trying to degrade and belittle others. Because it sounds as if you might work for an escort service.

How low-cal are we talking here? If 249 is OK, and you have a blender, here's my current favorite:

1/2 C unsweetened peach juice
1 C raspberries
1/2 C diced banana
1/4 C raspberry sorbet
2 tsp honey, or to taste

Freeze the fruit for at least .5 hour. Put ingredients in blender in the order shown above. (I've found that the honey can gum up on the blades unless you dribble it in while they're in motion.)

And if 249 calories seems too high, 20 minutes of brisk walking should offset almost half of them, not to mention the beneficial effects it'll have on your metabolic rate.

Note: This recipe is from "Slim Smoothies," by Donna Pliner Rodnnitzky and I sure hope saying that covers me for any potential claims of copyright violation! I just really love her book.

Escort...fuck no..life as a whore seems terrible. I (when not stuck in a godforsaken shithole) work in sales. Not like let me ring you up sales but actual sales. Prior to moving here I worked as a designer/salesperson at a higher-end furniture store and left to briefly sell insurance (its the worst job ever) The insurance thing is lame because I like to tel stories and Insurance doesn't lend itself to being the fun and eccentric salesperson but the furniture store was killer. Prior to that I was stuck in retail managment doing merchandising and training. Actually, I was the in house trainer at the furniture store too....god that was a fun job. I so regret going back to school but only one more year!

Asked a doctor...yep juice is bad he tells me. Then again maybe he just told me that becuase he wants to fuck me and hates fatties. If you are sick juice is okay..any liquid is good if you are ill but generally juice is bad. As the new cookie monster may say "[juice] is a sometimes food."
Additonally any personal trainer will tell you not to drink juice. If juice is so great for you why are schools now elliminating it from their cafeteria in an atemp to curb childhood obesity?

proud v8 is some nasty crap in my opnion. I like 100 percent real juice. It's 100 percent from fruit stuff not like 10 percent juice an like 90 percent bad stuff lol.

Mango pineaple orange is good.


Sia, yes I've seen those shake your bottle adds for the crystal light on go. CL Is GOOD I love it but here it's 5 bucks for 4 little packets that make one pitcher. That in my estimation is a HUGE rip off.



btw who ever said coffe fills you up. Yup I am a huge fan of those house coffe's like hazle nut. It does fill me up. I make it with milk not water tho it tastes better so it may counter product.


Mouthy 249 is OK ONLY if you havn't had tons of stuff already. And it's not ok at night when I need ok snacks most. However it is a wonderfull idea for say breakfast when I have all day to be active and I am just starting out.

crystal light is 7.86 for an 16 pack box at Sam's club....that is like 32 quarts; enough crystal light for a year.
ANYway I would love to point out some more of the horrors found in this thread but I need to try to get over this cuba thing.

Woah, it's included in my meal plan so I guess I never really looked at the price. I do know though, that they make generics and those are pretty good.
On a similar note, have you tried sun tea or moon tea? There is an awesome cookbook called "How it all Vegan" by Sarah Kramer and Tanya Barnard and it gives wonderful recipes for snacks, meals and drinks and all the recipes are animal-free. The recipes are high in protien and they taste wonderful. I recommend taking this book out of the library (and if you love it as much as I do you can find copies pretty cheap on amazon.com). I have heard that their second book, "The Garden of Vegan", is very good as well, but I haven't looked into it quite yet.
