Hallo and welcome to the forum. Just a word of advice. Writing the words you are planning to use fully and not using numbers in stead of words will increase how serius you appear to others. I do not mean to criecise, I myself do not have a perfect luanguage, far from it. But atleast I try to write correct. removing the 4`s and u`s and similar and replacing them whit for and you make your post look alot nicer.

Not to sound stupid, but since I am new, I have to ask. What is the difference between a Master and an Overlord? I have an idea, but wanted to ask anyway. Rozy

Not a great amount Rozy. It's more medieval than anything. In that era, the serfs, or peasants were considered the property of the Overlord. Ironically, He was addressed as Master. Confused now? [:D] Yes, you're right nella. Netspeak irritates Me bigtime. It doesn't take much to use the correct spelling... and grammar.

I definitely agree with the "netspeak", it doesn't take much longer to type "to" than "2", and honestly, it just looks lazy and juvenile. It's a real pet peeve of mine. Have you really tried as hard as you can? You live in LA, so pull up a search, all the Masters you can find in LA is a good start and write to, say, 5 first off, tell them exactly what you're looking for, and ask if they're interested. If 1 in 5 says yes, then pursue it, find out if you can give each other what you want/ need. If no one does, continue with another 5. Use other sites, I know some people here also use bondage.com? I find it hard to believe that in all of CA you won't find someone interested! Also, you have only been here a few months... finding a perfect match takes time, I think I read in another thread, it took one girl 2 years to find her Master? Ok, I just did a search, bi-sexual (seemed a good place to start for a cd/tv) men between 30-99 in CA... and there's loads!! So get writing sweetie, and I wish you loads of luck :) Minx

in my experience Master and Overlord is aboute the same thing, it is just a differance in what you prefer to call it.

It's interesting that you specify 5. I've been in sales most of My life, and I was taught very early on about the 5 by 5 rule... As in you make 5 calls to get an appointment. You then do 5 appointments to get a demonstration. Then for every 5 demonstrations, voila! One sale! After 30 years, it does work, believe Me.

Hehe, that is interesting! I was just thinking, if everybody you wrote to was interested, and did write back, and was worth getting to know, what would be a reasonable number? And I always found I could keep 5 or under contacts going quite happily, without anybody feeling "neglected" or "forgotten"... But wow! 30 years proves it right, nows that what I call an endorsement!

There was an Australian poet who wrote a poem that I believe applies to that response. The poet is John O'Brien, and the poem was called "We'll all be rooned said Hanrahan". You'll find it on a Google search. Life is a perception. Thankfully, I see the upside.

nikki I recognize that it may be difficult to find One Who might be interested. The problem you have is not that much different than other submissives or even Dominants face. Finding some one takes time and often a great deal of patience. Now your situation does make it more frustrating for you I imagine. Don't give up though. Take time to meet some people. There are a few of Us around Who would be interested.

I agree with minx... to a point. Patience is something that lacks greatly in this age of instant self-gratification. Wwe are brainwashed into the desires for instant gratification... such as ' why wait and save money to buy something that you don't have the money for right now when you can simply charge it and get it right away?' Yes, you have to get busy looking and searching... seek and you shall find. But be honest with and about yourself and network yourself. There are alot of females on this site that I communicate with on a very light, platonic level, but it's a part of networking. The other thing I would strongly suggest is that if somebody takes the TIME to write you a decent message, be sure to take the time to be courteous and write a message back... a courteous one and ... if you don't like quickie one-liners... don't use quickie one-liners to write to people. That goes to agree with nella. If it doesn't appear important enough to you, then why would others make it important to them? Best Regards, X
