I am wondering how many African American-Caucasian marriages last a lifetime, or even 20 years. Every one that i know of has ended in divorce. My daughter's lasted 8 months.

i know 3 that has lasted over 30yrs within my family

Face it- Most white girls do NOT have an ass.  When I put on a few pounds, I don't get an ass.. I get hips!

A former roommate once told me I have the ass like a black woman or as she would put it, the "N" word.  She was VERY prejudicial that you would think she was a card carrying member of the KKK..

As a child, I grew up in the military, which has taught me about culture, which is very interesting to me.  I have a boss who is Jewish, so I am learning about their religious holidays and why Channukah (?) or Hannukah (?) does not always coincide with Christmas every year.

I remember a couple of incidences where there were interracial marriages and how the kids were treated, which was sometimes very cruel.  I learned firsthand what prejudice was all about and that was during the early 70's when we would start to be more tolerant and embrace other people's differences.

I am also trying to learn to avoid stereotypes because I believe people are different.

but if that is the case then why isn't this having a significant effect on african-americans? most black men i know don't really care about breast size (the nice round bottom is the primary concern), and of those who do, fake breasts are not seen as desireable at all.

Because, they don't make "push up panties."

What I want to know ...

Lot of us have seen this I bet ... if you take a white guy and put him with four brotha's, within five minutes he will be speaking ghetto ... crummy ghetto mind you, but ghetto none the less. Keep in mind, that even if the Brotha's he is with aren't speaking ghetto ... he will still be speaking it.

Does this happen with other people. If you take an oriental guy and put him with some Italians from New York, will he start saying things like, "Hoow aaah yuuu dowin' round eye?"

What about someone from the Fjords, hanging with some dudes from Jamaca ... "Hey Sven, bee za schport and paaaaas me za ganja mon!"

Oh, and why don't chicks ever do this? (or maybe they do, and homegirl just didn't notice!)

Caitlyn,....ahhhh, I've never seen that and I was in the military for a lot of years. And what is "speaking ghetto?"
And as for Swedes in Jamaica I think it would be more like; "Hey Ollie, ask dat big schwartenberger to to pas da hippie lettuce!"

That's an interesting one... i'm REALLY bad about picking up other people's accents when i'm talking to them... my wife always makes fun of me afterwards. Not just "ghetto", but rural Southern (and though i couldn't explain the difference, i can guess the state about 4 times out of 5), English, Scottish, Indian... i don't do it intentionally, but i suspect one of these days it's going to get me an ass-kickin' The only other person i know who does it is another white male... maybe it's our search for a unique identity in a culture that tells us we're too generic?

As far as tanning goes... a moderate tan tends to make the skin look more uniform, hide veins, make pores stand out less, will "bleach" body hair so that it becomes less evident against the darkened skin... but i do agree with the philosophy that people want what they can't have, so a tan person stands out in a sea of flourescent slugs, making one assume that they're prosperous enough to have lots of leisure time.

i've been seeing more and more white girls with ass lately... however, i am still far too Caucasian to be allowed on the dancefloor.

Redheads are much sweeter than people give them credit for, just don't leave them out in the sun.

The turban is worn by Hindus for religious reasons. They believe that it is a gift of their Gurus. It is worn as a sign of commitment to their own  higher conssciousness.

Of note: Hindu men are not required to wear a turban, it is optional. It is the Sikh men who are required to wear it. Sikhism is a different religion than Hindu.

As for the do rags.. not sure, but here where I live white guys wear them too and biker guys wear them. I wear one when I go to the beach or am going to be out in the sun to protect my scalp from sunburn. yup, I am one of those milky white, freckled redheads whose scalp will burn just as easily as my other skin.

to lady ellen,,,those questions u ask really depend on the level of african blood in an american black... almost all black americans have caucasian blood because of slavery and white men having sex with african female slaves... hairier black men tend to be lighter skinned... most african men from...africa have little body hair...also depends on where in africa ones ancesters came from... there are many tribal differences... eithiopians for instance are fairly light skinned and have aquiline noses... people from the congo are dark and have wide noses... as to in between toes and fingers there is usually some shading if the person is very dark...sometimes a circumcised dick is 2 toned, sometimes not... as to the different smells... i think some of that is also caused by what hair or body products people use. which does differ by ethnicity somewhat... just my  observations...i grew up in a black neighborhood but in NY one sees people from all over...as to interracial relationships... it really depends on y the people got involved...most relationships don't last these days in any case...i personally avoid non black women who are merely curious about sex with a black male...if i deal with other races i like to deal with those women who have friends of differrent ethnicities... less suspician and conflict... but i would say i feel most comfortable with black women, or women who grew up in mostly black neighborhoods...

1) do black guys have body hair? I'm thinking yes, but maybe not as noticeable?

Some do, some don't.  My brother doesn't have that much body hair but its just him (he barely can get a glimmer of a mustache going).

quote:

3) are the bits between the toes the same colour as the rest of the skin? I'm thinking yes, but?

I had to pull off my socks, but at least for me it moves from brown of the top of my foo to the white/beige of the bottom of my foot in between my feet.

Hope that helps,
C~

PS - To Devilslilsister's comment I've found that black people do sunburn, it just depends on the climate.  Up here in New England I can suntan for hours without a problem.  When my owner and I went to the bahamas I started to peel and verge on a sunburn with only a few hours in the sun and I have a medium/dark complexion.

We ARE rhythm challenged.  We need to learn to embrace our (edited to correct spelling) down-beat!

I wonder if it would be possible for us to ask the child-like questions that makes us curious about each other's race without it becoming a race war.  Let's keep the politics out of it.  Let's share what haunts us or befuddles us.

For the ass and rythm challenged..speak for yourself dear, i am whiter than white and boogie like no one, so you are generalising (suprise!) Also as for the Race war........here we go again!

I have a white girl that has the booty butt, and I agree, I am not rhythnically challenged in any way, and know blacks that can't dance themselves.

well i have a question, primarily geared toward caucasian men i guess. what is it with white culture's obsession with breasts, particularly large breasts? why are larger breasts generally seen as more attractive or desireable than smaller ones?

Oh its not just white men, it's "breast men" and they come in all colors. I went to H.S. in a good sized city in NY, and even the (so called/self proclaimed) 5%'er boys use to admire a nice set regardless of the flesh covering them.Which I thought was just the funniest thing to hear,"Damn she got some nice titties for a cracker (or devil)" coming from a bunch of black supremisists, but they were 16 to 18 yro boys so what can you expect lol

When I lived in the very last group home there was this elderly white man we all called grandpa, and his black wife, they'd been together forever and we all called her grandma, well "grandpa" was a vegitarian and "grandma" would come bring his meals and man we sure did all flock to answer the door we liked her a lot. she was nice.

FWIW, there's a black-white couple at church who seem to have been together at least 20 years.

One of the other male assailants I work with wears a do rag under his helmet.  He says it keeps the sweat out of his eyes and makes it easier to pull his helmet on.

I wear a hat most of the time because of scalp sunburn issues, but that is just me and I could be wrong.
