incandescence -> strap ons (1/31/2004 5:24:59 PM)

Hi There, can anyone give me some advice about strap ons? I would like to buy one for a woman to fuck me with. They seem to be very expensive, can you give my any suggestions as to which ones are the best?

It's a matter of personal preference, I think. I"d suggest finding the woman first, and asking what SHE prefers. Some of us like two straps, some like one. Some people like those vacu-lok systems, some don't. Some like a "shield" of fabric or leather between the dildo and our skin, other's like the friction/rubbing. It's really a matter of individual preferences, I think.

And yeah, a good one can be expensive. I love mine, but it wasn't cheap. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

You can buy the harness and the dildo seperately. Probably best to buy a dildo that fits your ass and a harness that fits the woman who will be wearing it. Like SherriA said, you need to find a woman to use it first and consider her preferences on the equipment.

When you figure out what you want. I'd check out ebay. I never knew until recently just how many adult toys you can find there for dirt cheap.

Pretty sure I saw a strap on for around 20 dollars. But of course not being a strap on afficianado I can't say as though it was any good either.

Good Luck.

I could try and find a decent one that you would like to use. With the right partner, this could become an event itself... If you shop online, be sure to look at sizes, shapes, materials, prices and usability.
If you buy the dong seperate from the harness, be sure that they are compatible before purchasing them. If it's your first time with penetration, try something that you're comfortable with and have her try it on you before moving on to a harness. I say this because in the middle of a scene, players can get a little carried away and if she's not experienced with anal play, might hurt you. Besides, if you're interested in being dominated this way, it would make a good precursor to what you want.
Talk about it with your Dom and be sure to negotiate what you want out of it.
Try and find a lubricant that you like as well, experiment... it's part of the fun.

By the way, not being into male penetration, I can only say this out of my experience with female anal play.

I've always bought my harnesses and dils from Toys in Babeland. I got my first from their NYC store when I was seventeen. Loved. It. They offer good, quality stuff. The owners offer a bit of advice when looking for a beginner's strap on in their web site's Q and A section. Don't miss their Harness Coach either.

My advice:

First, figure out what material she'd like as the harness. If either of you are allergic to or has qualms against using leather, rubber is a fantastic alternative. It's also ultra sexy, but a little more expensive because it's not so easy to work with. Vinyl is also a good choice but typically doesn't last as long as either leather or rubber.

Second, decide the style to be used. Does she want the dildo's base to rest against her clit so she gets that swank feeling when she thrusts? *swoon!* Or would she rather use the dong attached to her thigh? Does she want to wear something that has two straps like a jock strap or one strap that is worn more like a thong?

Then pick a dil that you'll like. I like to take my submissive's shopping with me to choose a dong they think they'll enjoy, then give them the $$ and make them pay for it. It makes for a great humiliation scene and we get new toys. What could be better... except perhaps using the toys later? *evil grin*

Also, I'd spill the beans about sucking off a girl who's packing (one of my fave things to do, giving or receiving... it's just SO sexy!) but TiB has posted a great guide already!
