There's welts poping up 4 at a time all over me, 4 on my elbow four on my under arm some are poping up on my breasts, they seem to be poping up like every 5 mins new ones* yeah I know it's an exageration, but that's what it seems like* and I've been itchy for like 3 days. Nobody else is complaining, but me, and it's driving me nuts. The bites start out small but with in moments are huge welts, and they itch like a mother fucker. and I seem to be getting new ones every time I turn around. I took benidryl, but I can't take it all the time.

They sound like hives, which can be an allergic reaction or from stress my mom used to get them all the time the only thing that helped her was xanax. If it is an allergic reaction, if the benadryl works then that is probably what it is. Flea bites are usually just small red bumps if they show up at all. Since no  one else is being bothered still seems like an allergic reaction. Have you started wearing any new scent of using new body wash or shampoo, or laundry detergent? Anything that you have day to day contact with that is new and could be bothering you.

For temporary relief try calamine lotion or witch hazel, it will help with the itching.  Oatmeal baths help too.

It might be chicken pox so if it gets worse, see a doctor.

You need to go see your doctor and get a diagnosis.
Most likely the rash is hives.  She or he can give you
a stronger prescription to treat the rash.

Zindy nope, I am working with animals now and I wasn't before, I see them very rarely at this point, but these itchy spots are coming up at night and when I haven't been around other animals. like this morning at 12, I was trying to go to bed and all of a sudden my breast started itching like mad I lift it up and there's a huge welt, the itch also is painful too, it's an itchy sensation and a pain sensation, no sign no warning just bam I was itching and I looked and a welt was there.  in the past when I got bites like this They go away after one day usualy, I've gotten bites before itched like mad and was fine in a day.

The only insect bites I know of that do that are mosquitoes. But you could be allergic to fleas which could make them worse. I would definately get to a doc and they can most likely do something. Does the benadryl work because if it does and ends up making you sleepy you can also get clartin over the counter and it should do the same thing at least help with the itching at least until you can see a doctor.

It doesn't sound like bites. Unlikely your breasts and underarms would be the areas involved if it were bites. It does sound, as others have said like hives. Insect bites generally have a little bit of a depression in the middle of the raised area. Check out your rash and see if they have a depression. I'll put a link or two to photos of hives at the bottom of this post. Take a look and see if your look similar. If so, you will want to see an MD. You need a stronger antipuritic than Benadryl, and depending on the severity the Doc may order a steroid pak.

Hello,
I have allergies and I dont react till that night if I am around something that day. I rarely react to something immediatly like some can.

My dad gets welts that raise for seemingly no reason. Drives him nuts. Hes got allergies too. He'd slap rubbing alcohol on them. They would be under his arms and on his chest, belly and waist.
He got an allergy test at an allergy specialist and now he stays away from stuff he is allergic to. He also takes antihistamines which in his day when they were bad he didnt know what to do, so hed just do the alcohol thing and pace the floors.

As mentioned stress can also do this..and even tho your not upset when you go to bed it can be from everyday stressors that you take for granted and may not even realize is bothersom.

Definatly seek a doctors help, get an allergy specialist if you can. The welts can be maddening. I feel for you.

Take care,
Annya

First I will repeat like everyone else you should see the doctor if this is a persistant problem.  Now let me ask a couple of questions:  are the bites or red areas in a line? are they more apparent in areas where your clothing is tighter on your body..like a bra band or waistband of pants? are they between your fingers?  cuz it could be scabies...which are microscopic mites and cause unbelievable itching....especially at night.  Although they are normally transmitted human to human from direct, repeated contact there are similiar mites that infest animals and can cause scabies like reactions in humans.  I worked part time as a groomer in the past and got a scabies like reaction from a dog with severe mange (the kind caused by mites).

I am having itchy sensations just writing about this lol.

Domme their red kind of like the pic on the first link, and they're a mottled color.  they're not between the fingers no. I've had scabies before as a kid, yeah it was pretty nasty. These are like isolated little bumps. four on elbow four under arm one breast kind of thing! like I said tomorow the dr will see them f they're still there.

Awwwggghhh to the link pix.  Seriously I am having sympathic itching with you.  Glad to know you are seeing the doctor.  Try some hydrocortisone cream or eucerin cream to help soothe the itch until you get an exam.  I wish you well and itch free soon!

Thank you DommeChains, Hydrocortizone don't work I had it all over me but so far benadryl is. And even if the welts have faded to mch to see tomorow maybe he could do an allergy test thingie on me or something.

DommeChains, I agree. As I was reading this post I was thinking about scabies and was going to reply with this suggesstion. Get to a doctor. If it is scabies, he will give you a shampoo to use until they are gone.

Hi  I get reations like that when I go near animals if I havent for a while.  The doctor said it was an allergic reactio nthat caused my skin to welt (looks like raised heat lumps and goes very red)  I get them on my chest, neck, face occasionally and arms.  Its so itchy.  I found that piriton helped an antihistamine and also running it under freezing cold water took away the need to scratch it.

If the animals have been out they could have picked up chiggers, which could also infest their bedding, any carpeting where they lay etc...  They itch like mad and tend to crawl under your skin to spread out, they can also be spread when you scratch to your arms etc... I had this happen after a camping trip where i had to jump outta the tent to pee in the middle of the night. sigh.... dr can treat it pretty quick, but they will be visible for a few days at least. The bump usually feels hard which if different than other rashes to me.

Hives, be aware that some food can also trigger them.  Scabies start on the inner side of your forearm and don't pop that fast.

If all of these welts are on one side of the body, you may consider shingles, also. If it is shingles, you need to see a doctor to get antiviral medication, which can shorten the length and severity of the outbreak. It is possible for shingles to cause severe itching/burning/pain that can last for weeks or months.
