curiouslyseeking -> Admire or Envy (4/13/2007 1:36:33 PM)

Greetings folks of the forums and thread treaders…

I’ve certainly enjoyed my time back at the forums and I noticed in all of the regular participants, you start picking up parts of their personality, in a way how they conduct their life and mannerisms.

So, dig down into your core being, your self-honesty and please answer these questions.

Do you ever find yourself admiring, or envious of  certain people on the boards?

In your admiration or envy, do you find more satisfaction in your own life or more dissatisfaction?

Also, feel free to pay “tribute” with kind words of people you admire and even within the confines of envy.

Is there a Master with the “mostess”?
Is there a sweet submissive?
Is there a sultry slave?
Is there a delightful Domme?
Is there a Sensual Switch?
Is there a Couple with Charm?

Georging up the boards,
~curious~  aka george

Modesty forbids me from mentioning the ID of the person I most admire, but.....

I admire those who always seem to demonstrate balanced and informed views; Sinergy and Julia spring to mind.

I admire those who always stick to their guns and debate from principle, even when they drive me nuts with it!; Northern Gent a case in point.

I admire all those who post eloquently and coherently and back it up with sources or at least reasons; far too many to mention.

I admire those who keep the starry eyed idealism in check with stark reality from time to time, however annoying they might be; Seeks and Popeye for example.

I'm certainly not envious of any of these people, though I do think that any small nation's government might envy the debates we have here from time to time.

I envy beth's having a prescription for marijuana.
Does that count?

My chiropractor is next door to a medical marijuana store.

They have recommendations of doctors to go get what you need to fix what ails you.

Greetings curious george J

OH, there are so many that I do admire from the forums for various reasons.

LuckyAlbatross is one. She posts with such blunt honesty. I can read a post and have a specific opinion; then read her words and have to stop and think about my own stance on the subject. Besides that she is awful cute J

Fairer portrays such grace that I can not help but admire her.

Fyre and angel show intelligence and wisdom. You can not help but want to look to them for guidance. And they are both awfully cute also J

Beth from Mercnbeth portrays an elegance, intelligence, wisdom, and understanding that I can only one day hope to achieve. Not to mention that she has a beauty that just totally shines from the inside out in her pictures J

You curious, challenge me daily in my efforts to progress in my slavery. And you are simply adorable J

There are many others that I know I am forgetting. Let it suffice to say that there is not a single person on the boards who I have interacted with that I have not come away without admiring in some small way.

LOL can you tell that I focused on the female population here? I think I am biased.

I wish you all well

Sadly, that option does not exist in Pennsyltucky.
We still have to take Imitrex for our migraines out here..
It kills me when I give Marinol to patients. We can give THC (in a lab-prepared, less-effective form) as long as the drug companies are making a profit, but god forbid we should let anyone use what nature provided...
Sorry bout the hijack, end rant here...

Definitely one of those "be careful what you wish for..." The "price" is living with the chronic pain and having an allergy that makes simple aspirin and its derivatives poison.

But if you were in CA it doesn't take all that much to get a card. Marijuana would be legal if it weren't so easily grown at home. Cutting out Doctors and drug companies from income is a sure method of having your drug of choice made illegal or difficult to get. If beer were that easy to make and its distribution couldn't be controlled, prohibition would still be on the books.

At least marijuana is legal for medicinal use in CA. CHIPS officers and all sheriff's departments in CA are required to honor the CA law. The Feds are still under the control of the AMA and drug company PACs, but when the go after the providers and close them, they re-open the next day. We've contributed to the ongoing battle with the Fed and recently supported the woman in SF dying of cancer who took her case to the Supreme Court.

More

Like I said in the other thread, I envy slaves who never have to do any physical labor or exercise which would require practical shoes and pants.

I envy masochists who never get told that they just haven't felt the right pain yet.

I envy the anyone who thinks it's ok to tell me I'm too young to know anything because they obviously think they are old enough.

Oooo another popularity thread.
.goodie.

If I do, I do not dribble it across a forum - I tell it to their face (or at least their hard-drive)

How can one admire words on a screen?  Those that I meet face to face or communicate with off board are far more worth the time.

My life moves forward, regardless of anything - affected by everything.
The Good - the Bad - and the indifferent.

My question is - why do people feel the need to publically announce their admiration in a poll, because this is what  - basically - the OP is all about.
On my visits here, these kiss-ass posts come up all the time.  And what do they achieve?  Apart from making some people feel bad, because they are never mentioned, and for others egos to swell just because they are one of the 'in' kids.

Fraternities or witch hunt - just like everyday life - shows that BDSM 'culture' is no different.

Yours most sincerley, with a hint of british irony[;)](and a bah humbug)

FukinTroll -> RE: Admire or Envy (4/13/2007 4:17:05 PM)

This is a tricky one, so I will address it so....

The diversity of people, experience, and personalities gives us a very intriguing community. I would have to say that contrast helps us learn and grow especially the ones we disagree with. They allow us to reflect on things that we may take for granted or simply squick on. It is the broad spectrum that keeps us from just posting "Yep" 297 times.

I respect and admire too many to list, and of course must slurp all the honey's.

Yes, there are a few whom I like, respect, admire for different reasons.

I dont feel any envy towards anyone, but there are times when I am reminded by others here, of where I would like to be, or of certain "goals" that I would like to realize.  It doesn't make me feel dissatisfaction but more of a motivating/inspiring feeling.

Hello MarieToo...

*Confetti falls*....this was one of the points I was searching for...envy is considered a negative emotion by most people, but it can provoke inspiration and obtainable goals, which is a positive outcome..

still a few more points that have not arisen...

TheHeretic -> RE: Admire or Envy (4/13/2007 5:07:18 PM)

Lemme see, there are lots on the admire list...

Mnottertail drops incredibly obscure jokes and can keep it up all day long.  If they are all as funny as the ones I get, he deserves a Nobel.

FirmHandKY is an excellent debator.  I may have to start something with him one of these days in the same spirit I would pester a chess master for a match.
  Caitlyn is another.

I would probably envy FukinTroll if I ever saw a pic of that '28 Mercedes.

Hi Curious,

There are several I admire a great deal.  They know who they are :)

I can not think of anyone I feel envious towards.  I'm pretty happy with the way things are in my own life.  I do find some folks to be inspiring, though, and I learn from them.

By the way, I am really enjoying your posts!

darchChylde -> RE: Admire or Envy (4/13/2007 6:15:58 PM)

i think i admire LuckyAlbatross more than any other here... maybe it's just because i'm horny; but i love a beautiful, intelligent, organized, and beautiful woman
