LadyBeckett -> So whad'ya say? (5/25/2004 5:16:04 AM)

I am actually in a state of "pause" here due to recent events (here on the boards and in life) that have been a bit overwhelming, both mentally and physically. However, while having coffee (which isn't actually allowed, lol) this morning I decided awwww, what the heck and checked my email. I just finished reading an email, here at collarme, that had me laughing so hard that I almost peed on myself. That is straight up!
We don't all come here "seeking". Some of us come here just to interact with others in the lifestyle from all over the world! I mean, how cool is that? Although, even though we aren't all seeking, we sometimes end up "finding" anyway. Which is cool too.
Not long after I discovered the message boards (sometimes it takes me awhile, lol) and then finally figured out how to use them (honestly!!!) it was right around the time the big "incident" was just warming up with the gruesome threesome. I remember thinking, "How sad is this?". Because these were all brilliant, intelligent people.
How are we demonstrating ourselves to those who are coming to the boards seeking information, or some insight into a potential Dominant/submissive who is seeking on the other side? "How do you do, I'm Lady Beckett, and this is how I look with egg on my face and crow feathers hanging out of my teeth" [:D] Standing there in my pretty high heels with my hand on my hip and my paddle in my hand. lol
I am a Dominant Woman, but there is no "S" on my chest, and I'm certainly not perfect. I'm not always going to say the right thing, and I'm going to make mistakes, and there's going to be a time when I'm going to piss somebody off. When those things happen, talk to me like you would want me to talk to you. That is how we should talk to one another.

It doesn't matter whether we are Dominant or submissive, lifestyle or not...we should respect one another. That's all I wanted to say.

well said - I agree

I agree as well. That's why I remove myself when the children in some come out. Why fight a child? I'd much rather have an intellectual thought with ANYONE.

This board has definitely helped me to keep my sharpe tongue under control. If a person doesn't agree on certain issues, I feel it shouldn't be taken personally. How can a person learn if there goal is just to antagonize. I enjoy Collarme and hope to learn everyday.

Very well said LB, which I have seen tends to be the usual with you, to my pleasure.

You bring a certain grace to these boards, I must say, thank you for that.

I hope one day I can do enough personal growth to have a smidgen of that same grace I've seen so far, I admit.
