A collar looks like a old dog collar that  I find in the alley that causes my sub  a sigh of sadness  when I remove it from my sub's neck after we have played for hours ...

Thanks AngelisPuzzle, lol.  i also am a rock hound.  i always cleanse mine by the wanning moon, and later put them under the waxing new moon before i work with them as well as prior to selling them.

BTW, love your avatar, lol.

WireWeaver.....its nice to run into a fellow crystal lover and rockhound!! its one of my favorite subjects.  Sometimes I put mine in the shower and let the water run over them for a while to cleanse them - they look so glowy after that.  If I am doing the moon thing, I do the day/night before, day of and day after.  Do you work with the metaphysical properties of the stones as well?

Yes your avator confused for a bit there......as I thought they were my posts at first lol nice trick WW! ;)

i do work with metaphysical values of stones/crystals, but of the metal i use too.  i normally only use gold, silver and and copper though.  Are you a jeweler also?  i first started jewelry work for my late father when i was about 15 or 16, but fell in love with wire work in my early 20's.

When i saw your avatar i decided to change mine, don't wanna copy, lol.

Drop me a line sometime.  Where are you from?

Years of making collars has taught me one thing.
Collars look like any number of things depending on the tastes of the purchaser.
I've sold everything from pretty little things that might break under any hard use at all to large steel bar collars you would need a saw to remove if you lost the key.
Customers have a wide variety of what they are looking for.

I make my collars out of leather..3/4 oz with a deer skin lining..I use Celtic Crosses and have patterns for various Gorean Symbols as well.  I also use various font for lettering including Rune.  I have used spikes of various styles.  All my collars have post and locks.  If something less visual is needed I interlace a collar to look like a choker.

For me, it's essential that a collar locks, but other than
that there isn't a single answer: different levels of
discretion require different types of collars.

I've collected some pictures of metal slave collars
and for my two girls I use a mixture of flat collars
for formal events, Turian collars for vanilla and
less formal events, and ankle chains with tags for
every day (soldered rather than locked.)
