ORIGINAL: Rumtiger damn, how do you get a job like that? Well, I'm self employed. Me and partner in this, and sometimes have helpers come and help(If I could find some reliable ones). We essentially get returned stuff from stores, demos, Distressed packaging, etc.... So, we have to test everything essentially. Most everything anyway. We get a bunch of XBox accessories, and Ipod accessories. So, I have to test it, so we have to buy a XBOX360 and a couple ipods. I don't even use the Ipods or xboxs for some reason we haven't gotten any in our loads so had to buy them straight out. It's not all great, though. I'm pretty much a Jack of all trades anymore. So, if I get a Load of stuff, and there is let's say 10 duplicate items on it all with the exact same problem, and each of those sell for 200.00 dollars working. Well, all of a sudden I have to figure it out, if I want the 2000.00 versus zero for the trash bin. So, after a few years in this I can fix Microwaves,Vacuums(pretty easy really), Dehumidifiers, Most DVD player errors, Fix Most of your common tools. That is about it. I buy stuff other people don't want or "THINK" is broke(user error is quite common for electronic items), or is actually busted, or demo units. I check them, and fix them if possible. And sell it. Simple. A capitalist approach to saving the Planet. They(All retailers) really are inefficient in there returns processing. I've always liked tearing things apart, and seeing how they worked, so it works for me. Only difference now is I know how to put them back together again. URMM, well most of the time.
