ORIGINAL: megan2007 hello*soft smile* i have been using Chantix for just over three weeks now. have mentioned the wonders of it in my journal so much, that Someone contacted me about it, wanting to know if it was realy working for me, ect. the answer is YES! i have NO cravings or physical symptoms of withdrawl, what-so-ever. the first week after quitting, i did have a constant feeling as if there was something i should be doing, or something i was forgetting...but that was just my mind dealing with the concept of NOT smoking anymore. that passed, and other then dreaming about smoking sometimes*chuckles* i have no issues, no problems and no cravings for a ciggerette, anymore! i guess i'm one of the lucky ones, in that i have'nt had any of the side effects that Chantix can cause, like the nausea. but...yes, just wanted to chime in, in support of the medication. as for it's price, it was priced to cost about $5.00 a day, or about the same amount somebody who smoked a pack a day, would spend on the actual ciggerettes. pricy? yes. but compared to paying and paying and PAYING for the ciggerettes, for years and years and YEARS more, and all the medical bills from the health problems that smoking casues...never mind the eventual death factor...it is WELL worth it, to get the Chantix! maybe it does'nt work for everyone. but without giving it a try, one will never know, right? thanks for sharing your experiences, megan2007!!! Did you happen to sign up for the web-support that is offered, and if so, what do you think of their site and the activities there? Best of luck on your quit as well!!!!
