CrazyC -> What makes a switch a switch? (4/20/2007 12:39:26 PM)

Just a week ago, I was at a party with some friends. We were all messing around when i started noticing some traits from one of the guys that made me think he was submissive. When a gf and i were eating some hummus, he asked for some. We gave him a taste and he loved it, and wanted more. At that point, i told him if he wanted more he needed to bage. A little later he cam back and asked for more, just as my friend was going to, i reminded her that he was suppose to bage for it. The next thing i know he was on the pool table on his hands and kness, with tongue out. I of course rewarded him, and that was how it was the rest of the evening. I thought he would have stopped but he didn't. Then a Dom friend of mine saw this and laughed at me, because he knew exactly what was going on. He let me know i was doing really good and he could tell i enjoyed it.

Now i found nothing sexual in it, but it was fun playing with power in a relaxed fun way. I'm just wondering what i might have experienced. I am sure LA has some links for me too. :)

LOL in that particular situation you were having a laugh, and doing a fun bit of topping.

For me, topping and bottoming are just fun things people do.  I called myself a slave/top for a long time because I didn't think topping, even regularly on a long term basis, made me a switch.  It was just something I liked doing.

It wasn't until I realized that I really WANTED the authority in a relationship (versus playing around or doing things as "the top") that I considered myself a switch.

And while having a laugh is fun, it is always good to be cautious when basing a persons relationship orientation to stereotypical traits.

Thank you. I do realize it was all in fun, and don't know the guy enough to base anything on. He was just a friend who wanted to submit for the moment as far as i was concern. And yea, it was fun. :D

Sometimes it feels really good to let go of the control and be controlled, and in that, gain freedom.
