I was collared a year ago with this simple steel collar. It is obvious what it means but I wear it almost all the time. I recently took it off because of a bad sore throat and my glands were all swollen (it hurt!) and it got to tight and now I am waiting for Master to place it back on my neck. I love to wear mine in public, but mine's not flashy. If you want, and I am not sure I can do this being so new and all, but for wonderful collars I got mine at www.kittensstoyroom.com It is nice and it was like they knew exactly how to fashion mine. No where else had ones that fit my scrawny little neck.

The collar I have now is pretty large and obvious. We've agreed that I wear it from the moment we're alone to the moment he takes it off before we go out. Although the first weekend I had it, he had me wear it everywhere including in public. Luckily I was able to pretty much hide it under my shirt. Not that I'm not proud and honored to wear it, I just don't want nillas asking a million embarassing questions. I do not like a lot of public attention. We have discussed picking out a more discreet collar that I'll wear all the time. I saw one that was a small chain with a little heart shaped lock. I loved it. I'll try to get a pic soon.

It's pretty, and I do understand why you would be concerned about it. However (continuing in her apparent crankosity) I still think that you have to direct your questions to your owner on whether you are, by accepting this collar, expected to wear it 24/7. Collars, in my not so humble opinion, are symbolic; they represent a contractual agreement made between 2 consenting people. If you feel owned, that's what's most important. The collar is just another level of submission and by agreeing to wear it, I would assume that you have agreed to wear it as your owner so chooses. Rarely do I do a disclaimer, but I'll make an exception. I think that we, as individuals, regardless of our 'station' in WIIWD, do ourselves some disservice by tossing questions that directly effect our relationship to the board. There's no way to know really if I'm who I say I am, or if I have the experience I say I do. I could be an 85 year old man who's posing as a 24 year old female sub for kicks. That's why I think it's really vital to meet other people who are living this in your local community. It doesn't mean that you have to 'play' publically or go to a party or anything that makes you uncomfortable. However, the benefits of having people who you can trust and count on to give you advice and guidence that you know you can trust is invaluable, in my opinion. I'm not looking to offend anyone here. I'm really simply trying to say that for all the good intensions most of us have, when questions arise that should be discussed with your partner, what your partner thinks is what really counts. I wear my collar whan i am with Master. Wehn i am not with hin i am wearing a mrental collar whia us myuch stronger then anyone he could place on me. Just a thought this works for us. JL's K

Congratulations to you both ginger. I wish you both much happiness and growth. I would agree. You need to discuss this openly and honestly with your Master. I wear my collar 24/7 the only way it comes off is if my Master takes it off. However, we both knew that forme to wear something every day all day it had to be semi casual because of my carear choice.Most Dominates understand this and are willing to compromise on the formality of a collar. nika Phoenix's deviant slut

[:)]I usually wear mine 24/7. I have two collars, one is the training collar first given to me by Master, as time went on I just felt naked without one on when we went out in public. We discussed another collar for those times. It took us a long time to find just the one and we found it at a antique mall. Now I can describe it, but can't put it on here as Master's computer is not set up for posting pics, it is(as we just found out) pewter overlaid with gold, it has shapes like squares set on one tip and on those squares are scroll work, and in between each of those "squares" is another diamond shaped smaller "link", this is a choker. I wear this one out in public, but found out that it can not be fixed permantly as nothing will stick to pewter, and it is a soft enough metal that the links tend to pull apart so now it has to be a collar I wear for special events or to places I won't be afraid to loose it in, can't wear it fishing for fear of it pulling apart and dropping into the water. So back to shopping for another. Hope you can picture it in your minds, but I love it and will not retire it completely, it is very special to me

My Master put a collar on me that can not come off unless he takes it off. It is a stainless steel collar. I like it very much. I have to wear it all the time, obvioulsy. I could not imagine not wearing it now. It is like it is a part of my body. I will put a pic up of me wearing mine soon.

Thank you. It is locked on, it can not come off unless Master takes it off. i am proud to wear my Masters collar around my neck.

ravenna... i would love to hear more about your permanant collar. i have seen some that look like a cylindracal ring that lock around the neck with an allen key. is this what Your owners are looking at?

i have a whole collection of collars, all different styles... as long as each one is my collar from my Master..... it works for us.... he does not require me to wear a collar at all times, but i usually do.
