I have an intense scene coming up this weekend. Part of it is removing the hearing as much as possible.

I already have the drug store ear plugs and foam pads to put over the ears and held in place with vet wrap. It's not enough.

Head phones are not an option as the scene will be too rough to keep them in place. Yes, there will be loud music there too.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Ms Crysta [e]

You will still get some sound comeing through because there are high, mid ,lows ranges. Higher sound waves can still reach the ear also. The other kind of headphones you could use are the ones that cover the whole ear then use ace bandage to secure them in place. That way the ear plugs are in and the headset acts like sound deadening barries then the music can ge through and muffle the sounds around. I know the head set will not work but if you do not plug them in and use vet wrap to secure them in place like a harness.

The second idea is to use is the industrial hearing protection that look like headsets and remove the plastic headset part. Then you put the ear plugs in and the ear peices over the ears. Then use ace bandage to secure them on and then use white medical tape to make sure it is secure for the intense scene. Good luck with your project

Working with heavy machinery, I have researched and tried various types of earplugs and headphones, and what seems to work best are the gel plugs (sit in the outer ear and deaden everything) with some form of headset over them.

You are going to get some bone conduction and noise going through other openings in your head, so it wont completely dampen things.

Good luck!

Thanks to both of you :)

I have a heavy duty hood that has about 6 straps that buckle around the head that I may use with the foam and ear plugs. At least the sound will be muffled enough not to hear who is there and what is being said.

I can leave the throat and chin strap undone for watering him.

If all of us are speaking very low and the music is up, it should work.

I did look for some gel plugs at a local Workplace Safety store but didn't fine any. Are these available on line?

Regards,

applying sweet oil in the ear I use 6 drops per ear befor applying the plugs gives all sounds a muffling and voices nor sounds are not easily read by the brain to determine whats being said or where however do not use if the body will be upside down for any lenth of time but in a up or vertical position it is fine.

I've used wireless stereo headphones with the music turned up considerably. Vet tape to keep them on the head. If you're going to wear a hood anyway that could serve to further secure the headphones.

The music does the rest. Take your vision away and you won't have a clue what's happening in the room around you.

Choice of music in this instance could be very important in facilitating the experience you wish to create. (white noise, anyone????)

Rite-Aid or Savon have them, they are white and sort of waxy looking.

You may also want to look into noise cancelling headphones.

i imagine you-all already know this but i have to say it b/c i'm an ear-phobic.

be careful putting liquids of any sort in the ears, especially if it will be held in for any length of time. this can lead to nasty ear infections.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. :)

Dread... I am not familiar with "sweet oil"? Is there another name for it?

Sinergy...I'm not familiar with those stores. As the beer commercial says : I am Canadian" but I will look for them the next time I'm in the States.

Right now, I'll go for the hood with the plugs and foam but the next time I will invest in remote head phones. That seems to be the best option.

There are 4 unsuspecting male submissives who are being abducted tomorrow and taken to a local dungeon. They have no idea where or who will be there. They don't even know each other will be there.
It's going to be a lovely weekend :)

Deviously,

Rite-Aid and Sav-on are simply drug stores, I do not remember the Canadian equivalent, but it would be the places you go to pick up medicines, buy shaving equipment, etc.
