Well, you gotta admit it IS a novel concept. Too bad it would never catch on here in the states. I think I'd like a vacation in a town like this.

Sounds like a city with female supremacy in China. This is nothing new, there was a Dowager Empress Tz'u-hsi who started off as being a concubine for Emperor Xianfeng. She formed her own military regime, had the emperor placed on house arrest and he eventually died. She ruled China from 1835 to 1908. She was not a very nice person and if one disobeyed her rule, they would die!

I heard about that which is in Czechoslavakia and remember watching a video seeing these guys being paraded around a circle...BRUTAL! However, to each his own lifestyle

I find this curious. I always thought that 'Traditional' chinese practices involved female submission, not the other way around.
I'm also suprised to hear about the Empress Tz'u-hsi that corsetgirl spoke of.
