Bingo!!!    Well said!   Perhaps I'll send 'em to this thread with a link to your post!

A certain young lady can attest to that, kept her up til 4 am last night (this morning?).  I was up this morning, busy, wheeling, dealing, while she slept til noon.  Poor girl is half my age and I wear her out.  Guess I need to get a couple more.

So add boundless energy and endless conversation to my list.

~laughs~

Night before last, cubby went to bed about midnight. toad and I stayed up until almost four. We got into bed, whispering and continuing out conversation, but before we knew it we were laughing again - QUIETLY!

The next day, cubs teased us all day about being tired because he shared a "dormroom" with a bunch of giggling schoolgirls! LOL

Heh. More like.. what *don't* I bring to the table? ;)

My strongest asset by far is my resourcefulness. I'm an excellent problem-solver and very reasonable.

gardening and cooking skills, budgeting, a very practical way of dealing with things.

Outdoorsy... I love to hike, fish, and camp. Men usually feel pretty comfortable around me because I give off "galpal" vibes.

I'm very low-maintenance as far as money goes. We can have one great time with $5, and that's okay with me. I'm gutsy and damn loyal to the people I care about.

And I have big perky boobs. =)

Thank you so much for this thread. I've noticed that I've been discouraged lately as we've talked to possible betas for our house. It seems that many want the "golden ring" so badly that they forget that a D/s relationship is still a relationship and will need more than sex and obediance to survive. I always ask them what their goals are, and so many of them have none other than to be submissive rather than be A submissive. We ask who they are and they talk about sex and obedience. What we want to know is exactly what you posed here on this thread.

You're very welcome...I was just getting a smidge bored and testy with all the drama. I did ask one girl what her interests were after her initial contact e-mail. She replied with a nudie pick. Soooo, that's what she's got. Next!

What do I bring to the table?

A life that has been fully lived and which I plan to continue to live fully.  I've been a beef plant worker, I've climbed to the top deck of an oil rig, I've thrown pipe tongs around pipe while the platform was shaking, I've rang up purchases at 7-11, I've done short order cooking at DJ's drive in and cooked for the Wayward Wind restaurant, I provide health care to people now.  I've owned and own hot rods, choppers (and want another some day).  I have an eclectic taste in music, ranging from Black Sabbath to Faron Young.  I love Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and autobiographies.  I don't understand abstract art and I love Picasso...and Monet...and Van Gogh.  I love coffee and I love milk.  I cherish a shot of Anisette as well as a good Merlot.  I work on my hot rods and I make toys to beat on submissives with and I just got through knitting a baby afghan for my granddaughter.

I bring kindness and caring and a fairly large capacity for love to the table along with only a small bit of cynicism and caution.  I can be overly optimistic and extremely stubborn.  I can be receptive to being shown where my being stubborn is wrong or other ways in which I have been wrong and am willing to apologize for my actions...even when the apology is left unanswered or unaccepted.  I can feel deep regret over my carelessness and yet know that while the other person wasn't 100% right, I wasn't 100% wrong...and I am willing to extend that same understanding to others when the majority of the wrong is theirs.  I love animals but will not have them if my (and future partner's) lives are too full to treat and care for them the way they should be.

I am still highly sexual and am highly romantic.  I can enjoy an evening of cuddling almost as much as an evening of play, depending on my mood.

I can have a tendency to go on and on and still work on my skills at not interrupting...but once you are speaking, I do a fairly good job of listening.  I am flexible but not so flexible that you will wonder how I will feel about most things that I consider important.  If it is wrong today then...at least you show me factual evidence to the contrary...it is wrong tomorrow.

The question is, Aileen, what makes a great cock and why don't you suck not-so-great cocks?

Regarding the OP, I posted a fairly detailed response in another thread that addressed this, but what it really boils down to is I bring what he wants and needs.  That's all that matters.

I am a beta. I am also dominant in my vanilla life, and in sales.

The main thing I bring to the table is being able to speak freely, rationally and openly to Master and my sister to help them see the "other side" during arguments. When people lose interest or their tempers, there is usually a misunderstanding and "me first" attitude. I facilitate compromise well.

I am also gentle-natured, easy going, loving, and helpful. I am happiest when I am doing something I know that someone will appreciate (bringing home a little "I'm thinking of you" gift, doing the dinner dishes when it's not my turn, cooking so that my sister can relax) etc. After Master and my sister having a relationship for 30 years, I think I bring a fresh perspective into the house, a little enthusiasm, and I have as much to teach as I have to learn. I love learning their ways and their foibles, and I adore being a dose of relief into what can become a tense stand-off.

There are more talents than that, but that's the major one on my mind after spending the weekend there.

What do I bring to the table? Besides dinner you mean?

a sense of humor;
several degrees in parapsychology
a love of music
a love of the written word
a deep love for the world around me and the people within it
a love of the outdoors and all that it entails
a half-way decent singing voice

other than that and a few other strange quirks that I have; all I bring is myself; and quite frankly, if it is not enough, then I am too good for that person to begin with

I bring a never ending ability to evolve with an ever changing list of hobbies little girl comes and goes through.  I also bring her a window to the past when I sit her down and show her how much she has grown.  The caramel is wonderful kibble, and although she would say differently at times, I'm full of surprises...some she expects or figures out ( intentionally part of the Master plan...lol...no really!  It is! ) and others when I know she has made me proud, and she thought I didn't notice.  I like to keep her guessing.  Grinz...

What a wonderful thread! i have so enjoyed reading it!

i bring a few things to the table: intelligence, laughter, compassion, love of outdoors and culture, love of music, eastern philosophy and fantasy fiction. i love biographies of interesting people, anything to do with travel and other cultures.. i can adapt to any social situation from a low-country boil on newspaper covered tables with good friends and cheap beer to a five-star restuarant with escargo, Dom Perignon and business associates that need to be "impressed".
i am currently working on a few new skills such as massage and energy work, i am refocusing on "the writer within" in hopes that my creativity will re-emerge.

Interesting thread! Certainly helps to get to know others here. I bring:
* a warm, loving compassionate heart in a cuddly body with big arms that love to hug and lips that love to kiss
* a sharp intellect that revels in science, geography, history, the arts, solving puzzles and organising almost anything
* a love of animals (have 2 dogs and a cat) and plants, but I'm another black thumb! (In Botany we were taught to dissect 'em, not grow 'em ... and I don't think the plants have forgiven me for that! I tend to compose a requiem for any pot plant I've been given - and it's always been needed sooner or later!)
* an equal passion for submitting to Master and wanting to Dominate a sub/slave of My own, i love both the service and play aspects of the lifestyle
* a love of fun and natural humour. Making Master laugh every day is one of my little goals ... He makes me laugh a lot too! I embrace the child within ... while finding it hard to deal with childish behaviours such as sulking, tantrums etc!
* an ability to cook and I love to cook for others (unfortunately I also like to eat!)
* a natural ability to teach people, to share my knowledge and skills with others
* a love of music of most genres (exceptions opera and rap!), I play guitar and piano, have a strong singing voice with about 3 octave range, love to teach singing especially folk choirs, write songs and poems, love to perform and share my music with others (Master is also a muso)
* an enjoyment of handicrafts, favourites at the moment being scrapbooking photos and needlepoint, love creating my own designs, but I also like folk art painting and paper quilling, and again, love to share this with others (Master now scrapbooks too and is very good at it!)
* an ability with word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, I have the right methodical mind to work through them
* a love of reading (and discussing) fiction (especially science fiction) and non-fiction (especially autobiographies) but don't get as much time as I'd like for reading
* a lot of academic skills in the arenas of science and education which can translate well to everyday life ... critical reading, research, editing, high level writing skills, also ability to listen actively and feedback
* a love of travelling long distance by motorbike or car ... love to experience the changing landscapes, the real sense of "GOING somewhere" that I don't get in a plane. Have crossed and toured southern Australia 3 times by motorbike and many more times by car, and also been "around the top" once. Got to get across the strait to Tasi one day though, but that will require me overcoming my seasickness!
* a love of watching some "boy activities" such as motor racing (bikes and cars)
* a high level of self-discipline, I love to see projects through to completion and I don't need reminding about doing them ... I sometimes need reminding to stop!
* and I bring a very healthy sexual appetite! Master's 15 years younger and I still wear Him out sometimes LOL!

What I DON'T bring is a love of anything else physical LOL! I'm lousy at sports and not into hiking, climbing or fishing. However, reading this list, I know why I'm tired often ... I really one of those "always busy with something fun to do" people!

Aside from the wannabe's that bring all sorts of merriment to the forums, what do you as a Dominant or a submissive bring to the table?

What keeps you outside of the box, so to speak?

I know the question is ambiguous, but it's meant that way...to really answer an ambiguous question without the same answers that we've all practically memorized by rote.

I bring a love of puppies, caramel, and a new-found fondness for growing things. All of these things, as silly as they might sound, do have a place in our D/s relationship. Daddy permitted me to adopt puppies after being on my best behavior. He's also known to show up with something caramel if I've done something extraordinary, or if He just feels like spoiling me. And the growing things...well, it gives me my own space to really get away from the world for a minute and remind myself that I have helped something thrive.

Okay, not sure how I should end this, but I hope ya'll get the idea.

Yes there is never any merriment to be found in puppies, caramel and things growing unless it is the domidong.

I like Summertime, honey bees...Cuz they make honey, long wallks on the beach, the sound of children laughing, snuggling and anal.

What do I bring to the table? Hmmm..

Well, I can do some basic sewing, I'm an avid gamer (he's better but sometimes I give him a run for his money, which he enjoys), I do some baking, I'm willing to learn... I have two cats. I'm a painter so we have some portraits of us together and my other works hanging around the house (I provide decoration!). I can do some basic weaving, though I haven't done much of it lately. I'm a black belt, so you don't have to worry about me too much. It also makes me fun to wrestle and spar with.

According to some I provide stimualating conversation and I often play devil's adovate to his point of view. He likes it because it makes him think. Hmm... I'm excellent at watching action movies, even if I a touch picky (I don't like the good guys dying!). I'm very emotional, which is both good and bad. In some ways, I still views things through a childlike innocence, which he enjoys and I get very enthused about the things I enjoy.

Mm... other then that.... I've got big boobs and give head?
