I've never been 100% honest and I never will be. I'm just being honest. For the majority of the time it really matters to me to be as honest as I can be, mostly it's easier to be, but there are times when I'm not. The whole idea of being totally honest in all situations is too vast for me to state with any honesty that I will be so.

To be totally honest, I don't even like most of you people.

This is the epitome of oxymoronism!

Apparently I'm in the minority in believing that slavery is a mental rather than a physical exercise. To have mental domination, honesty is essential. The lying slave should be disowned, or else punished to the point that she begs for release. However, honesty is more than just lying. If there is real love between the partners, they will know in advance what the other wants and needs to know. Asking one what happened on a given occasion and getting the response "I'd rather not say" is at least not dishonest. It indicates a problem, but since there still is honesty between the parties, the problem is capable of solution. Once one starts lying about it, the possibility of a solution evaporates.
Query: Which is more important, honesty or submission? (Answer: Honesty; submission without honesty is worthless.)
Love doesn't mean never having to say you're sorry. (Siegel was  writing for vanilla wafers.) It means never having to say you're sorry if you've been honest. No one can be 100% perfect, but it is possible to be 100% honest.
I colud go on, but honestly, I have work to do. Cheers to all.

Sometimes I don't think it's a good thing. Have you insisted your partner (slave/or dom/mme) tell you the ABSOLUTE truth about something and they did.. and you wish you never asked because of what you were told?

Now I'm not talking about a relationship issue.. I mean. like "what actually did you DO at the strip club"

I've learned.. some things just don't NEED to be known.

I disagree, whole-heartedly. I have found that, for me, total honesty is the only way to go.

True enough, I'm also polyamorous, which demands that I be rigorously honest with my partner but, even before that.

I learned, a long time ago that people may feel badly, when I tell them the truth but, they feel violated, when I don't.

Some people feel the need to employ degrees of honesty but, I believe that we can be honest without hurting some un-necessarily. One of my favorite quotes: "Honesty without compassion is brutality."

I don't need to tell her that her dress is ugly. When she asks: "Does this dress make me look fat?" I can say: "You know what? It's not your best look. I think the blue one is much more flattering." There's no dishonesty and I haven't been a brutal prick.

All I know is: I demand and I give absolute honesty. There's no other way for me.

Peace and comfort,

Michael
