Believing this position is hopeless. Needing to believe in a conspiracy theory examples a fundamental belief that a clear plurality can never be achieved.
VP Gore lost. The fact that the election was a close as it was indicates that he, coming from a popular incumbent administration, was not a good choice for the Democratic party. He lost, not because of hanging chad, but because not enough people voted for him.
Besides, being the "global warming" messiah obviously is a much better, and much more profitable gig for him.
A loser can not accept victory of the opposition.
