ORIGINAL: Aylee Actually, did you know that the whole poisoned candy and razor blade apples is an Urban Legend? It is true. The ONLY cases where something like that happened, it was the PARENTS that did it. Not random strangers. And no. . . I am not worried about taking home the wrong Eeyore. Mine would be the shortest in ANY crowd. Really. LOL I was just miffed that you found it over-protective to not allow a barely walking UM to wear a mask. Especially one that would likely try and eat it. quote:
ORIGINAL: Darias alright first of all to those who posess the pink slips and registration papers of various sizes shapes and ages of ums out there. it wasnt my intention to be flippant or whatever about said ums safety.. im aware that even at halloween , a time when you`d wish the crazys freaks and evil people (not the good kind) would take the night off , there are dangers about. the tainted candy for one. ( we were told if mum suspected w e had dipped into the candy before she checked she`d take the rest away and burn it.. exception being the local shop owner who basicly gave out the same candy her charged us for earlier in the day ) the older kids out for a laugh at some little ums expense... but that said we were never let out trick or treating alone untill we were in late teens and by then we were kinda bored with it even these days i see ums just under teen level being escorted by a squad or platoon of mums dads n little ums buggies etc. ( the shotgun in a pickup i saw once in canada atleast it think it was a shotgun ... that or a katana ) i suspect Aylee that said toddler isnt gonna be more than two steps from mums reach anyway right? and many parents i know latch onto said short um`s hand at steps etc finally...Superflue is ALWAYS the answer that or ducttape Darling Aylee i found it over protective cause as mentioned above i doubt said half pint would be more than a foot away from you and id bet my eye teeth your mummy issued bonic eye wouldnt leave said um for the entire night.. i dunno hon i agree that safety is one of the most important things a parent must provide for their munchkins but fear over protectiveness not only reduces the ums umhood but leaves them unprepared for simple things in the big um world hey this is just my opinion... it may be right it may be wrong it may be based on the rantings from the back of the kellogs box... opinions are like butt holes ... everyone has one and everyone is sure theirs is perfect oh and you know barely walking umms LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE face paint doesnt even have to match the costume
