Status: offline 		i love it that my lil sis (Kyttyn) got engaged ...maybe there'll be a double wedding at Vegas in 2010 ...i love it that 2009 began without a gunshot, firecrackers or police sirens in my neighborhood - a quiet start to the new year ...i love it that my pet was the 1st one to wish me a happy new year and to remind me that we have 1yr and 7months to go until Vegas!

I am older than Master by 15 years. His parents were far less than happy that he wanted to wed a woman who not only was older but had major health issues and advised him against marrying me. At dinner this past Christmas his mother turned to him and said I am so glad you took my advice and married her, she has been fantastic for you and I have never seen you so happy. Both our jaws hit the floor and so did his sisters'...

You have to love revisionist history.

I was 42 and been married before for almost 20 years and I'm still having problems with my family for getting married to Lumus. A few are apparently not talking with me because I had the guts to run off and get married. (Like I was supposed to stay home and be by myself for the rest of my life?)

Irony of ironies, the ones having problems are the ones married multiple times themselves....

Kyttyn-cuz, you just do your thing and enjoy every minute of it!!!! Congrats!

Fox was certain his Father would disapprove. He dreaded going up, even lost sleep about it whe we were going t make our announcement. And what happened? His Dad is thrilled, and even invited me hunting (from a southern father, thats like handing me the family heirlooms and saying, have at it)

My parents will bitch and moan, but ultimately if im happy they will deal. I mean, honesrly, they have the choice not to be around me if they dont like it. They werent invited to my first wedding so they know it isnt an idle threat.

Just remember, you want their blessing, but you do not require it to be happy. And if need be, remind them of that as well.
