Holly!!!!!!!!!!! The tired is from allergies and just not getting enough good sleep (I did not go to bed until after 2am last night). The two iron tests they did showed 12 and 11.6 (so I am not in the danger zone yet ~ just too low for blood donation). And I do have a listing of iron-rich foods. I used to be a vegetarian and so that was always a big worry with my mother. LOL Liver is out, but I am going to have to make an effort to eat more meat. Especially red meat. I had not ever considered the red wine. Does Sangria count? I actually do have a bottle of tasty red wine, but it is intended as a gift for my brother-in-law, so I don't want to drink it. Unfortunatly, the winery it is from is about a three drive. One way. Drat drat drat! Green leafies are good, red meat, nuts, and tomato sauce. Also dark chocolate is a good source of iron. Fortified cereals and certain mixtures of leguems. While I was preggers I made it a point to eat meat once a day at least. It looks like I need to go back to that for a while. But if that has not helped the next time I go in to donate, I will make a doctor's appointment. Or if I start having other symptoms of anemia.
