Aylee...the LO's Dr advised us to let him go barefoot whenever possible. And i had the same issue with him taking his shoes off, so i gave him an ankle bracelet (one of those Lance Armstrong type bracelets...but anything works). He was so busy playing with the bracelet that his shoes stayed on
I will have to look into getting one of those. I also want to get her some large costume jewlery, as she is fascinated my jewerly, when I wear it. ~ No kidding, she was occupied for 30 minutes playing with a silver braclet of mine.
I, personally, do not worry about the shoes too much. I put them on her when we go outside. And we have tennis shoes and those slip-on-moccasin things for her. I check her feet to make sure that they do not get too cold (all hard-wood-floors), so it is just a battle I have no interest in fighting. She does tend to take them off in the car. She likes the breeze through her toes. LOL
Although, you should have seen her with the tights. She was in the car-seat, and had her shoes off, and was trying to take the tights off like she takes her socks off. Now THAT was funny.
Pssst. . . don't tell grandma, but she was outside last night without shoes or socks.

Blech, so it's in the high 70's F but feels like it's 86° outside with hot, dry gusty winds.... Why'd summer start so fricking early?
Ok, trade ya! Muggy is normal here being between 2 Great Lakes. We're having abnormally low humidity for us at 50%, usually it's between 80-100%. I don't mind the humidity, it feels good to me (I always tell Lumus that I am NOT a fish with gills for breathing, dammit!) but the hot and dry winds are making even the cats unhappy. I thought I left this type of weather behind in Idaho. *chuckles*
That's our house, fluffy. No shoes allowed on inside. I keep slippers by the door year round. Spring, summer and fall I'm always barefoot inside. It's also the rule at Lumus' families. I think it's done a lot here because when the phone repairman came this winter, he had special boots on to slip off at the door.
