ORIGINAL: sirsholly LOL...the kid had a blast!! He was pretty banged up by the end of the night (scraped knees, etc) but he really enjoyed himself. I was kind of embarrassed though...there was a young man there who was total Goth. The LO had never seen a Goth person before and the kid stared...to the point of standing next to this young man...staring. Every time i led the LO away, he would work his way back...to stare. Luckily, this man was extremely good natured and got a kick out of the whole thing With Butterhead, it is ladies at the park in sandles with painted toenails. She is fascinated by them, and I always feel *actually I am not sure how* kind of embaressed by her running up to look and then reaching out to touch. *sigh* Most of the time I am able to grab her before she touches. . . but grandma (my mother) and my friend Beth, have no problem with her curiosity. . . so it is such a mixed message. The ladies typically have children at the park as well, so. . . it is not so uncomfortable. I wish that there was a really quick drying polish so that I could paint HER toes. LOL I am so glad to hear that the LO had a great time! I always worry how the real young ones are going to react to all the noise! I figure that scrapped knees and getting all dirty means that they played hard and are going to sleep well!
