So. . . does anyone know any quick fixes for strep throat?  And you are NOT contagious unless you are running a fever, right?

A guy I know at work was told to use ibruprofen for the pain, and against all his ideas, it actually worked.  It reduces the inflammation in the throat.

As for infectiousness, I be clueless.  Never had it.

That could be why I had not noticed sooner.  I have been taking ibruprofen for menstral cramps. 

I do believe that I am sleeping alone tonight.

You are contageous until you've had 24 hours on the antibiotics. You can't go by fever because some kids don't run them.
