ORIGINAL: purepleasure hi Aylee Pots, my weekend was mostly good. And I can't hardly wait to climb on the scale at the Dr.'s office this afternoon. Today is my 3 week face to face follow-up since starting the very low calorie diet. The idea is to keep my caloric intake between 500-750 calories a day, with 5 oz. of chicken or fish included in that total. I've been successful in doing so for all but 3 of those days, and on those days still kept my total under 1200 calories. Going by my scale at home, I am 18 lbs. less, than the day I started. My blood sugars are still screwy, but not nearly as bad as what they were. Thanks for being an inspiration! How long do you intend on keeping calories so low? You asking for a royaly blown metabolism, IMO. probably another 4 weeks, then will increase to 750-1000/day. Seriously Level, my 38 lbs. weight gain has my diabetes that fucked up. I'm not well, and haven't been for awhile. If I want to live and keep my sight and body intact, and I do, the weight has to come off, and my sugars have to get back under control, no matter what it takes. My Dr. and I are working on this and watching everything closely together.
