zindyslave -> Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/29/2007 7:51:17 PM)

Okay I don't know if this is a concern or not but it definately confuses me, I have been craving peanuts like crazy lately and I have no idea why , I know I am not pregnant. So if any one can give some insight it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good ole hormones. People get cravings, the trick is to eat just a little bit to get through your craving then move on. I have been craving Chocolate Brownie Ice Creame all week, so I bought some, low fat, I can only eat a few spoon fulls, it will last me at least a week, it hits my craving, and I still keep my body where I want it to be.

It is not uncommon for your body to create cravings if it needs certain vitamins and minerals that seem to be lacking...

Or... it could also be your libido trying to convince your Master to turn you into a hot fudge sundae...  [sm=idea.gif]

well I have been craving them so much that a little bit of them doesn't work I tried mixed nuts and cashews and didn't work I wanted peanuts, I don't even like peanuts, it is just freaking me out, I mean I have had cravings but not like this. I heard about the vitamins and minerals lacking thing just can't figure out what peanuts have that I might need.

Peanuts are a very good source of protiens.  They can also satisfy a salty craving that is underlying if you eat salted ones...

Sometimes, acraving is more mental than anything else. You dont realy want the peanuts for any reason aside from thefact that your thiking about it. Or, you did want them once, when it started, didnt get them and your brain has fixated on it.  That has hapened to me, over wierd things.  I was like that for nearly a week becasue I was craving beef ribs.  I barely eat them but i saw somehting about them ona billboard and the got in my head.  I wasnt happy until I made myself a small rack and finaly got it out of my head.
A handfull might be all yo need to get yourself unstuck

If I am remembering correctly from previous postings, you have been having issues with your weight. One of the things that many people don't understand is that people who are over weight are not necessarily well nourished. The fact that their bodies need certain vitamins and minerals is part of the reason some people continue to eat after they are full - their body is telling them it is not satisifed. I remember watching a TV program about a really grossly obese person who had to be hospitalised because of his huge size - the first thing they had to do was actually feed him properly, because he was so malnourished. So I'm wondering if you need to look at your diet as a whole - maybe see a nutritionist? There are some signals there that suggest you might need to take a whole body approach to the problem.
Sorry if I'm getting confused with someone else - at my age, I'm allowed, lol

Lol, yes I am overweight, you are not confusing me with any one else. I try to eat a balanced diet hard to do sometimes but I do try. I know with the peanuts thing tho that no matter how many I eat right now I still want more. They don't really have to be salty either just so long as they are peanuts. I noticed it was just peanuts when I started looking at a bag of peanut m&ms and was thinking those would taste so good, and I have never liked peanut m&ms. Just weird I guess I need to look up what kind of vitamins and minerals peanuts have. Thanks for the info.

I have had ribs stuck in my head for years now - and as soon as these friggin' braces come off I am heading to Sonny's!  LOL

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/29/2007 9:44:11 PM)

See, heres the thing. I dont eat beef. Almost ever, and havent for about 14 years. Once in  a blue moon, I'll have a steak. So, getting beef ribs stuck in my head is WAY out of the ordinary for me.

nomeci -> RE: Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/29/2007 9:59:08 PM)

I have never eaten them often either... for me I think it was more the fact that I havent been able to eat them at all in over 5 years lol...

My first meal when the braces come off will be BBQ ribs and corn on the cob!  lol

zindyslave -> RE: Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/29/2007 10:17:06 PM)

lol nomeci, well I can understand your craving. Mine is totally off the wall tho. I just can't figure it out. Most of my cravings come from wanting something sweet so this has thrown me for a loop.

ChainedExistence -> RE: Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/29/2007 10:59:58 PM)

I'm not a big red meat eater...but after a particularly intense time with Master, it's all I can think about! I just want a juicy hamburger so bad and nothing else will suffice, (Ok, maybe steak, but it's too darn expensive!). I sometimes wonder if it isn't some kind of primal response.

zindyslave -> RE: Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/29/2007 11:28:24 PM)

ChainedExistence that seems to me in MHO, I am no expert. It could be because of the energy you used during those times that is making you crave. At least that seems like a reasonable explanation.

Hi zindy, I second the recommendation to see a nutritionist.
You may be lacking in certain vitamins and minerals and/or the cravings could be psychological.

I'm the same way with.....[sm=banana.gif]......bananas.  I love fresh fruit and eat tons of it year round but I don't care much at all for bananas.  However, there are times when I crave them so much that nothing else will do.  I'll buy a bunch and eat them in no time.  I've also experienced cravings for citrus fruits.  Sometimes I crave a lemon to suck on[:D].  I never really checked into why but I assumed I was missing some vital nutrient/mineral when this happens...........luci

Hi, you dont say if they salted peanuts? if so your probably deficient in salt, you need to get checked out by your doctor if u havent already.

dpt. [:D]

zindyslave -> RE: Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/30/2007 8:03:03 AM)

they aren't salted, well they can be or not doens't matter but that isn't what I am craving I am craving the taste of the peanuts. It has to be something to do with peanuts but I can't for the life of me figure out what.

zindyslave -> RE: Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/30/2007 8:04:21 AM)

If it goes on much longer I am definately seeing a doctor.

Domspaintoy -> RE: Craving certian foods without being pregnant? (6/30/2007 11:57:43 AM)

weird one really, i know when i was eating bananas like they were going out of fashion a friend just said you must be deficient in potassium youll stop eating them when your body has replenished itself, whether its rubbish or not i stopped eating them about 5 weeks later and havent touched one since, so there may be some truth to what she said. im not a nutritionist but obs your body needs whatever is in those particular variety of nuts.

i wouldnt worry too much just be careful because they are very fattening so try and be moderate with your intake.
