ORIGINAL: popeye1250 You know, being of Irish descent I wouldn't want a million Irish sneaking into this country either. HOLY SHITE! Can you provide us with proof that your forebears came to this country with all of their paperwork in order? And since you are so proud of your Irish heritage, you do realise that the Irish were the Mexicans of their time, don't you? My point is... each generation feels entitled to hate the next wave of immigrants. Considering the basis upon which this country was built (ie., immigration, and not always of the most legal kind), I find the present clamouring a little hard to stomach . Kittensol, I have dual U.S./Irish Citizenship. I had to apply for Irish Citizenship at the Irish Consul on Boylston st. in Boston. In order to do that I had to have all birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates and U.S. Naturalisation certificates for my grandparents. They came here legally so it was no problem. It took me about 2 years and a trip to Ireland to do so. So yes, I have all my "documents." And noone hates Immigrants! They're here legally! This woman tried to stay under the radar untill she got caught. She's not an "Immigrant" she's an "Illegal Alien."
