LOL

The nickname the other half gave to my dinners like that is, "Glop."  Since he typically has more than one serving at dinner of "Glop," I do not find it insulting.

Status: offline 		Mine got that name because I brought a crockpot of rice & tomato sauce & spices & herbs & some ground meat to my office one day for a potluck.  As it cooked it smelled so good that people kept stopping by all morning asking what it was.  When I would tell them I didn't know, they would say, "What do you mean you don't know?  Didn't you make it???"

I always would answer that question with, "Dinner," or "Food."  And it was a case of, eat it or go hungry or fix your own dinner.  (and the other half's cooking is APPALING!)

I have soooooo done that!!!  Thank goodness that Daddy doesn't really care what I write or to whom.  He did tell me early on that I should be respectful if they are, but if they weren't to do what I thought was best.  LOL

Thank you for the info & that's really scary!!!  Here's hoping that Peaches' son is ok.

"An estimated 5,000 residents living within about a one-mile radius of Wind Gap and Route 33, which includes parts of Wind Gap borough and Plainfield and Bushkill townships, were forced to flee their homes early this morning. Officials say a truck hauling 33,000 pounds of hydrogen fluoride swerved to avoid hitting a deer and overturned "

Hydrogen fluoride is a superacid and very corrosive.  Which really sucks, since PennDOT just fixed the roads in  that section of Route 33 last summer.  I hope it won't have too much impact on the environment, because it's really beautiful there.

Needless to say, I'm not exactly sure telling the jerk to get a reality check was that polite.....

Swerving to avoid hitting a deer in a big truck is always a bad bad idea.  You never know which way the deer will go & you'll more than likely wreck the truck & the deer will scamper off into the woods.  I've come so close to hitting deer while driving the truck that a couple of times I swear there were tail hairs on the bumper, but I've never hit one, nor have I had an accident while trying to avoid one.
