Actually, the lake Toba supervolcano eruption some 75000 years ago was so powerful, ash from the eruption was found as far north as china, also it was found in the Greenland and Antarctic ice caps, and so drastically changed the climate that it created a genetic bottleneck in human evolution.

The eruption coincides with a drastic cooling of the climate and is suspected of reducing the human population of the planet to fewer than 25000 people.

Now considering the technology of today, it would probably have an impact on humanity, (personally I believe that the terminally stupid people would probably be the ones that go extinct.)

By terminally stupid, I am referring to those people that warning labels are written for.

The type of warning labels I am referring to are, but not limited to:
Coffee Cups: Caution, contents may be hot
Superman costume: Caution this costume does not grant wearer the ability to fly
Blow Dryer:  Do not use in shower or bathtub
Chainsaw: Do not attempt to stop blade with hands or genitals
Fan Belt: Turn off engine before replacing
or any of the following.
  • "Caution: The contents of this bottle should not be fed to fish." -- On a bottle of shampoo for dogs.
  • "For external use only!" -- On a curling iron.
  • "Warning: This product can burn eyes." -- On a curling iron.
  • "Do not use in shower." -- On a hair dryer.
  • "Do not use while sleeping." -- On a hair dryer.
  • "Do not use while sleeping or unconscious." -- On a hand-held massaging device.
  • "Do not place this product into any electronic equipment." -- On the case of a chocolate CD in a gift basket.
  • "Recycled flush water unsafe for drinking." -- On a toilet at a public sports facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
  • "Shin pads cannot protect any part of the body they do not cover." -- On a pair of shin guards made for bicyclists.
  • "This product not intended for use as a dental drill." -- On an electric rotary tool.
  • "Caution: Do not spray in eyes." -- On a container of underarm deodorant.
  • "Do not drive with sunshield in place." -- On a cardboard sunshield that keeps the sun off the dashboard.
  • "Caution: This is not a safety protective device." -- On a plastic toy helmet used as a container for popcorn.

  • "Do not use near fire, flame, or sparks." -- On an "Aim-n-Flame" fireplace lighter.
  • "Battery may explore or leak." -- On a battery. See a scanned image.
  • "Do not eat toner." -- On a toner cartridge for a laser printer.
  • "Not intended for highway use." -- On a 13-inch wheel on a wheelbarrow.
  • "Eating rocks may lead to broken teeth." -- On a novelty rock garden set called "Popcorn Rock."
  • "Caution! Contents hot!" -- On a Domino's Pizza box.
  • "Warning: Do not climb inside this bag and zip it up. Doing so will cause injury and death." -- A label inside a protective bag (for fragile objects), which measures 15cm by 15cm by 12cm.
  • "Do not use as ear plugs." -- On a package of silly putty.

These are all real warning labels and the chainsaw warning can be found in Husqvarna and Poulan chainsaw manuals (I own one of each and when I first saw that I began to wonder who would be so stupid to try it.)

I just figured that to be more effective, trigger key volcanoes in critical spots would be easier. Save a person from traveling every which way find all the minor volcanoes when 2-3 major ones would do the trick!

Well, I would rather not have all that volcanic ash setting on the great plains and ruining the farm land.

Now to aid the reproduction of said animals (the four legged kind) I propose we dart all females of the various species with fertility drugs.

Meanwhile, with the various grains and grain derived oils, we can manufacture bio fuels.  The additional winds from the drastic climate change would allow for larger and more productive wind farms (especially around the Washington DC area, all the hot air from politicians would probably keep the climate there at near sub tropic levels.)

Now considering the terminally stupid population of the planet far exceeds that of the intelligent population, the lower human population on the planet will allow the ecosystem to cleanse itself.

I was trying to create a mental image of the tips of the turf poking out through a layer of pollen. I kid you not, there was a matting of pollen on the turf that looked similar to an accumulation of snow.

There's nothing like running a tractor/mower through that stuff, kicking up a cloud of pollen going along.

That makes sense. There's not much agricultural area surrounding Indonesia. Good point.

Status: offline 		The sneezes have morphed into being a burning sensation around the orifices of my face which, by the way, is red and blotchy. I should take a picture of my face... it's pretty amusing looking.

And I should also consider going back out and collecting the mixture of pollens that have, once again, blanketed the lawn's turf (though, not the beds -- I don't know why). That's some pretty potent stuff and might have a possible use as an April Fool's prank.
